Ruby Rose's POV

"Yang, listen." I said slowly, grabbing her arm. I explained everything as quickly as I could, though it was probably very confusing.

"So, you weren't kidnapped? You're okay, which means..." Yang's eyes had returned to their regular purple colour while I was explaining, but now they were shifting back towards red. "They... were using me?!"

"I guess..." That was all I could say. I didn't want Yang to freak out, but at the same time I could really use her anger right now - she could take out so many Grimm in so many epic ways!

"Those punks!" She yelled, backing away from me.

"Hey, Yang, wait!" I called out, but she had already began running.

I chased after her, but I was soon stopped short once a group of Grimm began approaching me.

I turned on my heel and readied Crescent Rose. A few slices and cool combos later they were disintegrating in black smoke. I quickly started running again - but the paths started branching off. I had lost her.

There was nothing else I could do to find her. So I decided that I would just keep clearing out the Grimm.

Yang Xiao Long's POV

"Found you!" I yelled, punching Emerald in the jaw. She was launched back by the sheer force, her body smacking into a wall.

Wasting no time, I charged towards her. Aiming for her stomach, I prepared another punch. This time she managed to roll over - barely dodging it. "Yang..." she chocked out, "stop this right now, you need to calm down!" She pulled out her weapon, an obvious threat.

"You were manipulating me! Using my sister!" I yelled. Anger flaring up again, I moved in to attack. Emerald blocked my arm, body pushed back by the sheer force.

She cried out, aura shattering.

"Back off blondie." Mercury suddenly called out. I didn't know when he showed up, but I was ready and willing to punch in that smirk of his. Swiftly pivoting, I launched a punch aimed anywhere in his general direction. He dodged and countered with a kick, my body smacking into the floor. Stunned for a moment, I heard the two of them run away.

Cowards.

I pulled myself up from the floor and angrily punched a nearby wall, cracks spiralling across the concrete.

Steve Rodgers POV

The shadow creatures - Grimm apparently - were finally clearing out. There appeared to be a portal of sorts that they were appearing from - a large puddle, writhing with despair. SHIELD had handled it, so they claim, leaving the Avengers to deal with the stragglers.

I retrieved my shield from the dark smokey evaporating mess that had previously called itself a Grimm. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a pair of people sneaking into a building. Naturally I followed them inside, as they were either civilians or wrongdoers.

"Excuse me, what are you two doing?" I called out to them.

A young women with green hair turned to me, holding a peculiar scythe like weapon. She swung the chain of her weapon, scythe slashing at me. I raised my shield, grunting at the sudden attack.

"We need to get away." The other person said, already half way up a staircase. The girl pulled her weapon back, suddenly multiplying. I watched the clones cautiously, questioning if this was witchcraft.

One of them appeared to be wearing a tired expression. Hoping that this was the original, I threw my shield at her.

A moment after it made impact, everything stopped. The replicas of the girl all faded, leaving only the original. An expression of pain contorted on her face, body twitching slightly.

Her body faded into dust, swirling off into the wind.

When I looked back to where the boy had stood, he had already taken off.
