Days went on Xavier and I got closer like I had with nobody. Everything was fine like always with Ryan and Iris. I had completed my last year at the college and everything was going great I had also got an internship and was planning for masters in gaenocology. A year passed.
"There's a farewell next week for you'll please do come" a girl passed on the leaflets for the sendoff it was printed in different colors. All the girls had to wear a gown or a dress and boys a tux.
"Who would want to attend such a boring party? All they will do is serve us drinks and wafers that's all" Ryan said.
"I don't think so because we are too good we are sportive and the most brilliant batch the college has ever had and....." Iris commented
"And because Ashwar is there in that batch right or no?" I teased
"oh lalla" Ryan added "someone's blushing".
Ashwar was Iris's boyfriend, once upon a time they dated each other for 4 years but then when Ashwar got bored ( yes, he actually gave this reason) he left her. Iris still had feelings for him.
Once I was home all tired after the long hours of working at the hospital, and was relaxing on my bed I heard a loud scream from Xavier's room.
"Xavier are you..." I ran inside his room and stopped as he looked down on a piece of paper
"Babe I got it. I am overwhelmed" he cheered and hugged me tightly, planting kisses all over my face which made me overwhelmed.
Xavier had atlas got his scholarship to oxford for masters in business. I was happy for him but as well a little sad as he was going to leave . My mom my dad and everybody were jumping in joy. Even Xavier's friends had come over to party that night but unfortunately I couldn't attend it....i had my chumps and my whole body ached.
"love what are you going to wear?" Xavier entered my room and saw me sleeping "Shelby are you well....."
"nothing just chumps....i wont be able to attend the party you guys carry on" I said and went off to sleep. after a few hours I woke up to see Xavier reading a book on my study table. It was 12am "Xavier. How was the party?"
"I cancelled it"
"why?"
"when my love is in chumps and needs my attention then how can I even think of partying?" I smiled and pulled him towards me and hugged him. "I love you" I said.
"is it hurting?"
"a lot" I said in a weak tone. He pulled me out of bed and took me to the balcony. He sat on the floor and I went and sat on his lap. He removed a box of chocolate ice-cream and a spoon. I looked at his charming face. He fed me with utmost care while I looked at him with love in the romantic moonlight. I caressed his face and put my face in the nook of his neck and closed my eyes.
"feeling better?"
"like never before" to which he chuckled. I slept on his arms the whole night while he comforted me.
