“HEY Shelby!” Iris called out from a crowd. “oh my god you look too hot”
Both us gave each other a hug and walked towards the tables while she whispered “do you know that Ashwar’s girlfriend is pregnant?”
“Are you serious?” I shouted. She asked me to keep my volume down “sorry, but is that Ashwar’s baby?”
“I don’t care. He is history” she aired and sat next to me on the table. There was loud music blaring from the large speakers. When Ryan came and sat with us.
“Two roses for my two bestfriends” he said and gave us the roses.
“Ryan you look dashing in this suit” I commented. He kept his hand on the chest and said “I know I know everybody loves me” which made both of us laugh. A boy kept a bowl of wafers and some cold drinks and left.
“see…” he said annoyed
“we know” Iris and I said in unison.
There were some dance performances and gift distributions. When Ash came on the stage there was quite a drama
“people I know that there are rumors of my girlfriend and me having a baby” Ash said. all of the teachers were shocked. I just ignored the next part of the speech as Iris was continuously bugging me. After a round of commotion there was a ball dance, immediately Derek, one of our classmates asked me for a dance and at the same time Ryan intervened saying “she’s busy” in an angry tone which made him shift his hand towards Iris which she accepted. Ryan took my hand and all of us were dancing.
Soon the party was coming to an end but we did not stop. I felt a strong arm on my hand which pulled me away from Ryan. It was Xavier.
“Shelby it’s twelve. I was worried.” He hugged me. “let’s go”
“I need to drop Iris. Ill just call her.” I asked him to wait.
I spotted Iris with a boy behind a pillar. I frowned and asked Ryan who was standing beside me about him. He shrugged and followed me to the pillar….
