The most beautiful day of my life had atlast arrived. I was getting married to the love of my life. Dad and Clara slapped Xavier when they came to know about his business and our fights. To my surprise Xavier was completely fine with it.
Flashback:
"Xavier how could you?" Clara said "Now you are going to leave all of this and come back to Mumbai and join our business"
"I cant" is all he said.
"then forget me and now that house is no more yours" Dad slapped him again "even my daughter is not going to get married to you". This undoubtedly brought tears in his eyes and he said "Shelby what's your choice?"
I looked at all three of them in bewilderment and questioned siddarth with my eyes.
"Shelby baby you don't need to be scared of anything or anybody. If you love me and you want to get married to me then please tell them to get out of here and leave us alone like orphans" he bent down and held my hands."Dad...I really love Xavier and after that incident I have no respect left for you...I mean...leave us alone" I hesitated and just concluded. Xavier's face brightened up and he smiled.
Dad and Clara left after which Xavier hugged me and said "I hope you are satisfied with your decision. Shelby I am going to take care of you with all my heart. I wont let anybody hurt you, I wont let you face any worries or difficulties like you did in your past. I will be the best boyfriend, friend, husband and of course the best father. Even if there are some ups and downs I will always be there by your side, you will no more face them alone. You like it or love it or hate it, you are stuck with me for the rest of your life."
He completed his speech which made me fall for his love again and I pulled him into a kiss. "I always wanted a supportive friend and today I not only found a friend but also a perfect husband in him. Of course I am satisfied." Which idiot wouldn't be!
Present:
I was in my room all dressed up looking out of the window and praying that everything should be fine.
"Shelby you look gorgeous honey" Iris came in. She took me to the shamiana where Xavier stood and looked at me with a drooling mouth.
"You look hot Ms.Vasquez" he said as both of us sat next to each other
"you should stop drooling over your wife" to which he closed his mouth.
