"Meri? Where are you, babe?" Joe called. He couldn't find her anywhere. He walked into their room and she was sitting on the bed; completely naked. Not even caring that Caspar could walk in.

"Hi," Meri giggled. "Happy birthday,"

"What are you doing? Caspar could walk in at any moment," Joe said with concern.

"Joe, do you really think I would be sitting here like this if he was home? He's gone on a date, he said he'll probably be back in the morning," Meri grinned.

"Oh," Joe smirked. "Well, in that case..." he slipped off his coat and then his shoes. Then he took off his top and jeans quickly so he was just in his boxers. Then he slowly made his way over to Meri.

Meri held her arms out to hug him and he did. Joe gently pushed her backwards so he was laying on top of her with his arms around her tightly.

"You look gorgeous, babe," he whispered. Meri giggled and then kissed him passionately. Without breaking apart, Meri slipped Joe's boxers off and he kissed her chest and down to her belly button. He was excited. He hadn't seen her for a couple of weeks because he had been on tour.

"Joe..." Meri moaned. He entered her and she moaned in pleasure. They soon found their rhythm; both of them moaning and screaming loudly; glad to finally be alone.

"Guys, seriously. You could have at least closed the door," Caspar tutted from the doorway.

Meri screamed. "Fucking hell Caspar! What are you doing?" she yelled at him. Joe removed himself from Meri.

"I know you haven't seen each other for a while, but jeez..." Caspar muttered. Then he walked away. Meri was fuming.

She grabbed Joe's t-shirt off the floor and put it on. Then she stormed after Caspar. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! You were supposed to be on a fucking date!" she screamed.

"Calm down, she bailed. I appreciate the concern, but you can just go back to whatever you were doing with Joe," Caspar laughed. He didn't see a problem at all. Meri rushed up to him and hit him on the shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?"

"Are you fucking joking, Caspar? You can't just walk in on me and Joe..." Meri yelled. She trailed off.

"Why not? It looked like you were having a lot of fun. Go back to it, I don't mind. I might just order some pizza..." Caspar replied, rubbing his arm.

Meri screamed in frustration. "You're such a fucking moron, Caspar!"

"Why?" he asked. "You were the ones who didn't close the door,"

"Right! That's it! I can't do this anymore! This may be your place too Caspar but we were having a private moment! You can't just walk in and fucking comment on it!" Meri yelled.

"It wasn't that private. I think the whole block could hear," Caspar mumbled.

"Fucking hell, Caspar! Get a fucking brain!" Meri screamed. And then she stormed away from him and went into her bedroom. Joe was sitting there. He had put his boxers and jeans back on.

"Babe..." he started. Meri shook her head and put her head in her hands. Joe walked over to her and hugged her. "I'm sorry, Caspar doesn't get it,"

Meri started to cry. "It's just so embarrassing, Joe. I get that it's different with guys... it might not be such a big deal. But Caspar's my friend and I don't want him walking in on us having sex," she mumbled.

"I know. I'll talk to him," Joe assured her.

"I feel bad; you know? I just screamed and yelled at him to cover up my embarrassment. But he doesn't seem to understand that what he did was wrong," Meri rambled.

"Don't feel bad. Caspar's an idiot. Look, why don't you get dressed and I'll go and talk to him?" Joe suggested. Meri nodded and took off his shirt so he could put it on. Then he kissed her softly and left; closing the door behind him. Meri stumbled into some pyjamas and then sat on their bed.

Joe's phone started ringing. Meri looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Zoe so answered it. "Hey Zoe," "Oh, hi Meri. Is Joe around? I just wanted to say happy birthday," "He's gone to talk to Caspar..." "Oh, how come? I thought he was going on a date?" "No, she bailed," "Aww, that's a shame. What's wrong? You seem sad," "Oh, it's nothing, don't worry about it," "No, tell me," "Caspar walked in on me and Joe..." Meri trailed off. "Oh my God, really?" "It was so embarrassing. And we thought he wasn't home so we weren't exactly trying to hide it... I won't go into detail. He is your brother, after all," "Yeah, I'd rather you didn't," "But now I feel bad because I yelled at Caspar," "He won't mind. I bet he didn't even realise he'd done something wrong," "No, he hadn't. That's why I yelled at him. In Joe's t-shirt," "Don't worry about Meri. These things happen," "Thanks Zoe. I'll get Joe to call you back later," "Okay, thanks. See you later," "Bye,"

...

Meri was sat on her laptop. Joe walked in. "I talked to Caspar... he's gone to Oli's flat so we can carry on where we left off..." he said.

She looked up at him with a guilty look on her face. "I'm not really in the mood anymore, Joe," she said.

Joe tried to hide his disappointment. "Oh, okay. That's fine too... we can just –" he started. He sat on the bed and put his hand on Meri's leg absentmindedly and started massaging it.

"But it's your birthday," Meri pouted. Now she felt really bad.

"It doesn't matter. I just want to be with you," Joe assured her. Meri closed her laptop and crawled towards Joe on the bed. She looked up at him and pecked him on the lips. Just once. And then she went to move away.

Joe moved his arm up and put it around Meri; pulling her closer to him. Then they kissed again; this time more passionately and more fiercely. She shuffled so she was sitting on his lap; all without breaking apart. And then he pulled off her top. She gasped.

"Joe," Meri said, trying to get him to stop. But he kept kissing her. "Joe, stop," she tried. She turned her head away from his and he looked at her.

"I'm really sorry," he said. "I just..."

"No, it's okay. It's fine," Meri assured him. She was a bit shaken up but what he'd done wasn't major. It wasn't anything they'd never done before. It was just kissing.

"No it isn't. I'm so sorry, babe. You asked me to stop, and I didn't," Joe muttered. He looked so guilty.

"But you have now. And that's all that matters. Honestly, it's fine Joe. I'm just being silly," Meri replied.

"It's not silly. If you don't want to, that's absolutely fine," Joe said.

He'd scared himself. He had just gotten so into it that he couldn't even hear her say stop. "Thank you," Meri whispered. She put her head on his shoulder and he hugged her. She still didn't have her top on.

"I'm so sorry," Joe mumbled. He felt so guilty.
