Cadmen's p.o.v

After running the ten miles I knew we were close but what surprised me and angered me was angelica was definitely here but she wasn't alone, both neron and myself shifted back into our human forms just so that we could talk to each other.

"there are other scents just as strong as angelica's, one belongs to the rogue we had at our borders" neron spoke

" and the other is my father, we'll shift back but everyone is to stay hidden unless absolutely necessary, I want to see if anything is being said see if we can find out why the rogues have been hanging around your borders and why my father is here with angelica "

"ok first sign of trouble though and I'm going out there, alpha Connell would kill me if anything happens to angelica"

"right then, whatever happens then we stay with angelica"

I shifted back into my wolf and we crept the tree lines, keeping our ears and eyes open, I suddenly came to a halt recognising my fathers voice as he spoke.

"I just wanted to make sure you were ok, didn't you see how badly they treated you? They seen you as nothing but dirt and you still protect them, even that good for nothing brother of yours."

What the hell.....

"you leave Cadmen out of this you worthless piece of shit, they are my family no matter how they treat me, they don't trust me so what, we all know they put there trust in the wrong people"

"wow harsh words there angelica, still a little lap dog aren't you, too loyal if you ask me"

"good thing I'm not asking"

What the hell is going on my mind just isn't processing any of this, I was spacing out till angelica spoke again.

"who are you?"

"me I'm jackson, it's a pleasure to meet you angelica or should I say my future mate?"

"your not my mate and you never will be"

"we'll see about that sweetheart, you won't have a choice once I take your current mate from you"

"you leave him out of this rogue" she spat

She's angry I don't understand why she isn't shifting, is this her way out just let this rogue take her I don't understand I didn't even hear him reply but as I started listening again it was my father talking again"

"........ She killed my mate and stopped me from my ultimate goal of taking alpha Lowell down"

He what I didn't have time to think my dad shifted and lunged at angelica slapping her across the face, she went flying, I leapt out at the same time neron was going for the rogue. I landed above angelica in a protective stance growling at my father, I wasn't expecting that he was still able to mind link with me though.

"oh well guess its a family reunion right son, nice to see you can protect her now but left her to fend for herself for so long especially from your own mate, if only you really knew how loyal she had been all this time."

"shut your trap old man, why'd you leave, why are you here now and why does angelica hate you so much?"

"hahaha I see she really did keep her end of the deal you should really be asking her all these questions, as for why I'm here now I'm taking from her what she took from me" he growled

He lunged at the same time I was expecting him too and my canines tore at his throat, it was either him or me I did what I had to do, he wouldn't submit to me so I tore his throat out leaving him there to gag before he died.

I looked towards angelica to see her looking at me before she blacked out.

I shifted back then turned to neron who had also shifted, while Ekon and a few others surrounded us in their wolf forms. Neron spoke first.

"dude that take down was sweet, he had no chance"

"yeah well I did what I had to right, get angelica take her too your alpha, I'm going home"

"yeah man sure, you ok though?"

"yeah I guess I will be, just need to think about a few things, let me know when she wakes up yeah"

"yeah of course, I'll shift then you put her on my back and we'll head off"

"yeah no problem"

I picked angelica up, hoping to see something but I couldn't from what my dad had said she was innocent this whole time and I treated her like shit, she obviously deserved so much better then our pack she needed alpha Connell and his pack, they never judged her before hearing her story they gave her a chance, and they trusted her no one from the evergreen pack apart from alpha Lowell deserves her forgiveness, I couldn't comprehend any of this and I was so confused, I looked at her one last time kissed her cheek and hoisted her onto nerons back, he turned his head nodded at me then took off. I just say there staring at the water thinking about everything, what happened two years ago and why didn't she tell us, I only know of what my father said but it made no sense at all, I will wait till angelica is awake and I will get her to answer my questions once and for all and with that in mind I headed home, with the guilt of killing my father, the beta before me and friend to alpha Lowell. Guess I've got some explaining to do.
