Cadmen's p.o.v

I sat at the edge of the lake a bit longer after watching angelica walk off, there was something in the way her voice wavered with such honesty, what did she mean she was protecting the pack. I was focusing on the end line of the lake where it met the forest something had moved along when angelica had walked away and every now and then I caught a glimpse, a rogue, why would a rogue be following angelica or keeping tabs on her, I wasn't sure if the rogue was alone so I figure I'll wait a bit longer so it doesn't realise I've seen it then I'll go and see alpha Lowell, this is weird. I kept a look over the lake and then casually got up and walked towards the pack house in search for the alpha.

I was almost there when I noticed angelica and alpha Connell walking into the pack house hand in hand, what the hell is going on around here.

I let it go and made my way to the alpha's office and knocked.

"come in"

"alpha, we have a problem"

"what type of problem"

"a rogue, I was just at the lake talking to angelica, she walked off an I sat there for a bit longer an I noticed the rogue walking the tree line like it was keeping an eye on angelica."

"well that's strange, we'll get her in here see if she knows anything, alpha Connell too"

"yes alpha, um is there a reason for alpha Connell attending?"

"he's angelica's mate"

"oh well that explains why I just seen them holding hands I guess"

"they were, we're they guess she hasn't rejected him after all"

"no I guess not"

"so you said you spoke to her?"

"yes alpha after the meeting, you kind of got me thinking after what you said today, but I guess I had my chance for her to tell me anything, she was pretty upset"

"yeah I'm sure we'll figure it out"

"um alpha, I think you might have been right"

"about what?"

"that there was a good reason behind what she did, I asked her and she kind of got angry that I asked now. She told me to leave it in the past that it's best there, then she said something about it was in the best interest of the pack"

"what does that even mean?"

"I don't know alpha but like I said I think you were right about her actions, there being a reason an all, I just don't know what"

"I guess we'll just have to keep trying, in the meantime let's get this rogue problem sorted out, I want alpha Connell and his pack members that are with him here in 5 minutes and angelica"

"yes alpha"

I walked out of his office, I was going to get angelica myself but I figured it'd be wise not to I'm sure alpha Connell is with her so I'll let a member of his pack get them, I didn't wait long I found neron, alpha Connells beta.

"neron, can you mind link with alpha Connell to have him, angelica and you guys meet in alpha lowells office in 5 minutes"

" um yeah sure do you know what it's about?"

"you'll find out in the meeting"

"ok we'll be there, alpha Connell is just waking angelica up"

"ok thank you neron"

I walked back to his office and waited.

Angelica's p.o.v

I was nervous as to what this meeting was about, there was only a few of us going. What the hell is going on I thought to myself as alpha Lowell walked in and greeted us all.

"thank you all for coming on such short notice, we had a rogue on our lands not too long ago, Cadmen seen it and wasn't sure if it was alone, we aren't sure if it's connected to the rogues your having problems with, but we intend to find out"

Duke was saying something but I couldn't concentrate, I think I knew what was going on and my wolf was angry, I had to go, I had to get out of here. I stood up, excused myself and ran out before I knew what was happening my wolf took over and I was running to the forest near the lake. I smelt his scent he was back, I told him not to come back. It wasn't just his scent though there was one other. I stood there trying to figure it all out, but I was interrupted Cadmen and duke had come after me, duke handed me some clothes to shift back and Cadmen was quiet. I knew why, he smelt him too. I shifted and came back out.

"well it's safe to say, he isn't dead huh" Cadmen stated

"can we talk about this later Cadmen I'm tired, I just.....

"NO lets talk about it now angelica, I believed he was dead all this time to come down here and know he's been here"

"Cadmen please just leave it, I don't want.....

"TIMES UP ANGELICA, two years thinking I lost them both, you killed her and you won't tell anyone why, now I find out our father has been alive this whole time"

I couldn't say anything I knew what he wanted but I couldn't but then duke started talking.

"ange, love maybe you need to tell him, he needs the truth, I'm right here baby girl it's time to let go of your secret, time to move on"

I couldn't believe it I thought he was on my side that he understood, now he was pushing me to tell Cadmen everything, he was betraying my trust I put in him and I can't do it, my wolf was angry at duke, she felt betrayed too I couldn't stay I had to leave. I looked at duke

"you told me I could trust you, I thought you were different, i was wrong, I angelica bronx reject you duke Connell alpha of the black moon pack as my mate"

"angelica don't do this love you can trust.....

"Don't even bother, I'm done with this, tell them I don't care I'm leaving, it's what they all want anyway especially him" I spat and then that was it my wolf took over.

I shifted and I ran as far as I could, I couldn't go back.
