Chapter 19

Angelica's p.o.v

I kept going and never looked back, I hated myself for what I was about to do and sera understood why I made the decision. She blames herself for losing our mate, for pushing him away when he could have helped us. She was upset that she never gave them a chance and losing control the way she did, I decided to let her out from here give her some time before we reached James. As much as neither of us wanted to do this, we felt we had to in order to keep the war from happening. There was no way Duke's pack would be able to fend off the rogues, and I didn't want to risk any deaths that could be prevented. This was our mistake and we are going to fix it together.

Duke's p.o.v

I called Neron in and told him about Angelica's plan, I was seriously hoping that she can still mind link with him even though I kicked her out of the pack, she's been able to do it before so I was hoping she still can.

I waited for Neron to let me know if she heard him, because in order for my new plan of attack to work Angelica needed to know what it was. Neron just stood there looking like he was having a conversation but he hasn't said anything to me yet and I was starting to go crazy until he spoke.

"She heard me alpha, but she said she had to do this her way, do you still want me to tell her?"

"Yes, tell her everything and don't leave anything out."

He nodded his understanding while making contact with Angelica again, as he was about to talk cadmen stalked into my office looking pissed.

"You drove her away, I cannot believe you, you finally had her back all to throw her out again, what is wrong with you?" he spoke venomously

"Cadmen, it's for the best right now, i'll get her back."

"She won't be coming back you fool, esarosa left before her to go to James, she told Arella and Melanie that she was finally going to get rid of Angelica once and for all"

"Neron, warn Angelica now and tell her to get her ass back here now"

"Already did, but she doesn't know whether to come back or not, I think you're going to have to do it."

I was pacing my office, coda wanted out he wanted to go after Angelica and drag her back if that's what it took, but our mate was coming back to us whether she wanted to or not.

"Angelica.... "

"Duke not now, take the children and mothers to the safe room and lock them in there now"

"Woman I'm losing my patience...."

"DUKE JUST LISTEN TO ME!!! get them to the safe room now...."

"Angelica... you better answer me"

FUCK!!! Neron get the children and mothers to the safe room, tell Blaine to stay with them, and then meet me at the north border, cadmen go round up all the warriors and fighters and get them ready, I lost contact with Angelica.

"Duke... they're coming, they won't be too far behind me..... i've taken out...."

Shit, we need to hurry up they're on their way. I raced to the north border after coda took control, he wanted to keep going to make sure Angelica was ok, I quickly shifted back taking out my phone that was in the pocket of my pants I had brought with me and rang the alpha of the blood knights pack an ally I chose never to use unless I had too.

"Alpha Harris speaking "

"Uncle Harris it's duke..."

"Duke, long time no hear son...

"Sorry but I can't talk right now I rang because I need your help... rogues have started a pack and they are on their way to my borders as we speak.... my mate is out there on her way back to me I need more warriors and fighters.."

"Say no more son they'll be there in half an hour I sent them out the minute you asked."

"Thank you uncle Harris, I appreciate the help, I need to go"

"It's no worries son, it's been a long time, I hope to catch up with you after all this is over."

" yes uncle for sure"

Neron and cadmen showed up as I ended the call, Neron was looking at me funny so I explained. We should be ok now as most of my uncle's pack are made up of warriors the fighters he did have were trained by the beta who is a warrior so let's just say they are the best of the best, and I feel a weight lift off my shoulders knowing we should be ok. I sent cadmen to take the younger fighters back to the safe room, I didn't want to use them if I didn't have to and now I don't.
