~Imagine~
You had a very important test coming up. Your roommate had a bunch of friends over so you couldn't get any studying done in your dorm. Deciding that you needed to study more than the comfort of your room, you took your laptop and books to the cafe.
The coffee might be good for you too. You sit down at one of the tables in the back and order a cup of coffee and a slice of coffee cake. You open up your economics textbook and try making sense of the chapters. You don't understand why all the graphs for monopoly, perfect competition, and monopolistic competition were so different and confusing. After rereading the chapter some of it started making some sense. You sip your coffee and start practice questions. Suddenly someone clears their throat catching your attention.
"Excuse me miss, may I take a seat here? The cafe is full," a British voice asks as you look up.
"Sure," you smile leading him to smile and sit.
"Tom, Tom Hiddleston," he extends his arm.
"Y/N" you smile shaking his hand before taking a bite of your coffee cake.
"Lousy roommate?" He asks.
"Kind of," you laugh.
"Can't study without the environment?" He asks jokingly.
You laugh and nod.
"Economics?" He asks pointing at the notebook.
"Yeah, I have a test tomorrow," you smile.
"Good luck," he says before ordering a black coffee.
"Thanks," you smile looking back down at your notes.
He doesn't bother you but you can't help but take glimpses at him instead of studying. Realizing that you weren't going to get any work done, you close the textbook.
"Done?" He asks.
"Yeah, I think I can't understand any of this," you smile sheepishly.
"Need help?" He asks raising an eyebrow.
"You take economics?" You ask surprised.
"Nope, I was just trying to find a way to talk to you," he says rubbing the nape of his neck.
You start laughing and start to get to know him. You both talk to each other until the cafe closes. You leave feeling like you two knew each other forever. Maybe you'll see the linguist and drama major again. You're definitely coming back tomorrow.
