*Chris Evans is with Ruby. Y/N is single and Tom is single.
Ruby's birthday preparation at Chris's house.*"Chris where are we going?" Ruby whines as Chris shoves her into the bathroom with a dress.
"Out; now get ready," Chris says closing the bathroom door.
"Y/N, Tom remember to have things ready by 5; I don't think I'll be able to keep Ruby out for long," Chris says looking back every few seconds to make sure isn't out.
"We'll be done, don't worry now just go have a good time," I say.
"Yes, you go have a good time; don't worry we got this," Tom says.
Ruby comes out in a beautiful lilac dress, no makeup and a smile.
"I'm ready," she says walking up to Chris.
"You look gorgeous love," Chris says giving her a peck on the forehead.
"Thank you," she says grabbing her bag.
"Let's go," Chris says giving her a nice pair of heels about 2 inches. She holds on to him and puts the heels on. They walk out of the house. I hope they have a good time.
"Anyways, let's check on the deliveries, shall we?" Tom asks.
"Yeah, I'll check for the cake; you check on the decor," I command.
"Okay," he says grabbing his phone just as the house phone starts ringing.
"I got it," I say grabbing the phone in the kitchen.
"Hello."
"Good morning, is Chris Evans there?"
"No, may I take a message?"
"Umm are you Ruby?"
"No, I'm Y/N."
"Okay, let Chris know that we cannot deliver the cake because the chef is very ill; we're terribly sorry for any inconveniences." I just hang up after that.
"Tom, problem!" I exclaim.
"What?" he asks taking the phone off his ear.
"We don't have a cake."
"Hold on," he says to me and says goodbye to whomever he was talking to.
"What do you mean we don't have a cake?" he asks coming closer to me.
"The chef is sick and couldn't make it; what do we do?" I reply trying to think properly.
"Okay, no bakery will take an order now, so we could bake one hoping it will be good," he says looking around for a cookbook.
"Okay, there's a cookbook in the 3rd cabinet, 2nd shelf," I reply.
"Thanks," he says taking it out and passing it to me.
I flip to a page looking for a good chocolate cake recipe.
"Here, we're making this one," I say pointing at a recipe.
"Now what else do we need?" Tom asks taking out all the bowls and basic ingredients.
"We need baking chocolate, can you bring some?" I ask.
"Sure, anything else?" he asks.
"Nope. Just hurry back I'll be here since we need someone to pick up deliveries," I say.
"Okay, I'll be back soon," he says walking out.
"I'll be here," I shout in response.
I gather all the ingredients as the doorbell rings.
"Coming!" I shout walking towards the door.
I open the door and the decorators come in with decor and get to work. Where is Tom?
"I'm back," Tom says walking in. Speak of the devil.
"Perfect, now help me bake the cake," I say throwing an apron at him and putting one on myself.
"Do I have to wear this?" he says looking at the apron weirdly.
"Yes, now hurry up," I say.
"Okay," he says putting it on as I place the pot with water on the stove, to melt the chocolate.
"I hear you know how to cook," I say with a slight smirk.
"Not really," he replies cracking eggs while I sift the flour.
"Then we have a problem," I say pouring the sifted flour into a bigger bowl.
"Why?" he asks measuring the sugar while I chop the chocolate and butter.
"Because we have to make something for dinner," I say.
"Why?" he asks clearly not happy as I try hard to stifle my laughter.
"I can't come up with an excuse so this is a joke messed up," I say a few moments later with laughter.
"Y/N, that wasn't right," Tom says as I pour the chopped chocolate in a bowl over the boiling water.
"Oh well," I say with a smirk.
My back is toward him as I stir the chocolate to help melt faster; I soon feel flour hit my back. I'm wearing a tank top so I actually feel the flour. I turn around and face Tom; he is turned around intently beating eggs as if nothing happened. I take this chance to grab flour and throw it as his hair.
"Y/N!" He exclaims as flour runs down his face.
"What?" I ask innocently.
"Y/N, we can't make a mess now," Tom says as I mix all the ingredients together as he takes out 2 pans.
"That's true, let's put this in the oven and start frosting," I reply pouring the batter in the pans and placing them in the oven.
We set a timer on the oven then walk to the living room and sit down on the sofa.
Just as we start leaning into a kiss the phone rings.
"I'll get it," I say walking towards the phone.
"Okay, I'll cover the cake," he says putting a cover on the frosted cake.
"Hello?" I ask.
"Can we come now?" Chris asks.
"Yeah, sure," I say cheerfully.
"Okay, see you soon," he says hanging up.
"Chris and Ruby are coming," I say as the rest of the guests come in.
"Hey guys," I say.
"Hi Y/N," they say.
"Chris and Ruby are coming soon so find somewhere to hide," Tom says turning the lights off.
"Is everything ready?" Scarlet asks.
"Yeah," I reply hiding.
"Hey, they're coming," Alex says looking out the window as we all hide.
The door opens, Ruby turns the lights on.
"Surprise! Happy Birthday!" We shout.
"Aww, thanks guys," she says hugging Chris.
"Ruby how was your day?" Chris Hemsworth asks.
"It was good, thanks guys," she answers.
RDJ whispers something in her ear as Tom comes over to me.
"So..." he says as Chris Evans pulls Ruby closer.
"What?" I ask moving my attention from Ruby and Chris Evans to him.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asks with a slight smirk.
"Of course; now help me bring the cake out," I say walking into the kitchen.
We walk in with the cake, plates, spoons, and a knife.
"Wow, you guys made that?" Ruby asks staring at the cake.
"Yeah," I answer.
"It looks amazing," she says with a huge smile on her face.
"Cut the cake," Scarlet says as I pass the knife to Ruby.
"Happy birthday to you," we sing as she cuts the cake.
Tom tells everyone about our relationship and Ruby is the most happy about it and goes on teasing Tom. She knew from before that we liked each other.
