~Imagine~
Tom has been gone for six months. You both had a fight before he left. He had been gone for over a year before that. It was an important time for you; you asked him to say no to this one job; to spend a little more time with you; to be here for you. You wanted to surprise him, you had finally got your studio ready. You were also invited to have your work displayed at the exhibition. You wanted him to be there but he took the job and left. Today was the day of the opening ceremony. You called him today only to have it go straight to message. There were pictures of him and some other girl all over the Internet. The third time since he left. Each time you try to convince yourself that it's just rumors, he'd never do such a thing. Each time you call him to help verify your thoughts. But after a while it gets to being too much; the distance, the arguments, the paparazzi, everything. Could you really forgive him this time?Tom's POV
I've been so busy with all these promotions and new movies. I've been avoiding Y/N, mainly because I don't want to fight again but I mean is it really worth it? I thought she was being clingy and annoying, always calling me when the media made something out of nothing like they always do. That angered me even more. Does she not have that much faith in me? Just because we were going through a rough patch doesn't mean I'm going to cheat on her.
"Tom, I needed to talk to you about Y/N," Luke says grabbing me into a car.
Where were we going?
"What about her?" I ask without bothering to hide my annoyance.
"Tom, the girl has been trying to reach you since the day before yesterday," Luke sighs.
"I know. I saw the missed calls," I reply uninterested.
"Tom, would it kill you to hear her out?" He asks equally irritated with my indifference.
"Look, it's a big day for her today, the least you could do is congratulate her," Luke says as we approach the airport.
What are we doing at the airport?
"What are you talking about?" I ask suddenly interested in the conversation.
"Go and find her and tell her how proud you are of her accomplishments. She's opening her art gallery today and tomorrow she's being showcased at the exhibition," Luke says shoving me out of the car.
What have I done? If I had just let her talk. I didn't even know about her getting her gallery. She's been raving about that exhibition every year when it comes and not once did she mention she got an offer to get showcased. Now she probably things I hate her.Third Person POV
You had reluctantly gotten ready for your grand opening. You had lost interest in everything, Tom had been avoiding you for three days now. You looked beautiful in a classy long black dress. You plastered a fake smile and spent all night greeting famous people and artists. By the end of the night, you were exhausted and your manager was dealing with all offers on the artworks, most of them were for sale.
"Y/N, you know the piece in the east wing that you said wasn't for sale," your manager starts.
"Yes, what about it?" You ask.
"Someone made a remarkable offer on it," he says.
"I told you it's not for sale," you say getting up.
"But just listen, the man offered to pay $100000," he says as you look shocked.
"Where is the man?" You ask.
Your manager takes to the east wing. As you approach the painting, you see a man standing and admiring the work. The closer you get the more familiar the figure gets.
"Luke?" You say as you approach the man.
"Hi," he says sheepishly.
"What are you doing here? Please don't tell me you made that offer," you start as you hear someone from behind come closer and stop right behind you.
"No, I did actually," Tom says as you turn.
"Tom! What are you doing here?" You ask pleasantly surprised.
"I came to support you. I'm sorry I've been distant and for our fight. You should have said something darling," he says wrapping his arms around you.
"Let's forget about it," you say wrapping your own hands around his torso.
Needless to say he did get the painting as it not only was a masterpiece but also a memory of your first meeting.
