You look good by the way
Why can't I get Kile out of my head? My first crush, my first kiss, my first real friend. I'd always had friends but none of them were really real. All they wanted was money or to say they knew my parents. Kile was different.I walk through the hall after class with my head down still thinking about what Kile said. I bump into something and drop my books.
"Oh god I'm so sorry" I say. The other person starts laughing.
"God Eady you sure have changed. Did you just say sorry?" Kile smiles at me from the floor. He hands me my books and puts his hands in his pockets.
"So..."
I look up at him subconsciously biting my lip.
He laughs "how come you came here? Following me?" He winks"Not now Kile, I don't want someone to overhear us." I look down at my feet
"Yeah of course. Wanna meet after school? My mom would love to see you"
I smile remembering Marlee, the kind and caring woman who'd treated me like her daughter. My mom was away a lot when I was little so she took me in when she could.
"Yeah I'd like that."
Kiles face lights up "cool I'll uhm, I'll pick you up at 6 for dinner."
I laugh "it's a date" I pause "I mean, not a date date... Uhm I'm gonna be late for class" I run towards history with a huge smile on my face.
