Austin looked a little hurt. But he kept his cool. And said "Ok". "Stefan,! Stefan wait." I yelled as I got in his Audi, (not the convertible kind.) "Stefan I-" I Started. But his lips were on mine now, and I melted!

Chapter 6: Best Friend's....

This kiss was different. It wasn't like Austin's kiss of recognition. No, this was a kiss of pure blissful passion, and anger! His mouth was so warm, his arms around my waist. It was like a warm cocoon of bliss. Austin's was-.....What am I doing! When I was kissing Austin all I could think about was Stefan, and now that I'm kissing Stefan (not two minutes later) all I can think about is Austin darn it! I can't win! I pulled away from Stefan.

"Stefan I can't do-" I started but as usual Stefan cut me off before I could finish my sentence.

"No" He said, with his arms around me and I stared into the tumble of green which were his eyes. "No" He repeated. "For 12 year's now I've loved you, ever since I knew how to love! I've loved you! The way your so brave, so thoughtful, and not to mention the purity of your heart!"

Was he seriously talking about me! Ha, what a joke I'm afraid of swimming, well not swimming I'm afraid of the ocean! Forget that he was making no sense! I mean he's always just been my best friend! I won't let this...whatever this was... to get in the way of our friendship! I was going to say this but he was still talking. So I listened.

"Remember, how you were so afraid of heights, but when you saw that wounded little kitten up in the tree? You were seven, and were terrified of heights! You climbed all the way up that American Beech" (A/N American beech is a gigantic type of tree.) "But did that stop you? Nope you wouldn't even wait for the fire department!" He was smiling at the memory, His green eye's flashing at the memory. His arms were still around me his lips inches away. His minty cool breath washed over my face as he talked. It made it hard to think while he was so close.

"I tried wrestling you to stay where you were but no. You said the kitten was scared, that if you were stuck up there you would want me to come up after you not caring about the fire department! You pushed me away and climbed that Ginormous tree, and got the wounded kitten, and not to mention abandoned cat, and just as effortlessly got down!" He was grinning wildly, and I saw the love, in his eye's. I couldn't take it anymore I pulled him to me and he responded immediately.

His lips were on mine now and I could barely register any thought's of coherency. His mouth was so warm, and his lip's so soft. He cradled my head like it was as fragile, as a child. He sucked on my lip's gently, before running his tongue over my lips. I didn't fight him this time I let him in without so much as a thought to it. Like having him hold me was the most natural thing in the world. He was so gentle. Why on earth would I ever fight this! Then it came back to me, Austin, our friendship, and above all would he want me once he knew that I was some kind of freak that could do weird, no not weird.....supernatural...things? I pulled away immediately....again. This time he held me captive and pulled me back. I couldn't fight and he knew it.

So I did the only thing I knew I could, and told him a lie that would indifferently not work. "Please...I...I don't want this." I whispered so he would know I wasn't lying. He looked bewildered but his lip's stopped centimeter's away his breath washing over my face.
