Hour 5:
Corey's POV

It took a while because it was fairly far away, clearly if Chloe ever needed space she'd go get a lot of it, but anyway we're finally here but it's so confusing, it looks almost all completely the same and I don't know how we're supposed to find a specific place, Ryan storms out of the car and we all follow, he seems to know where he's going although I'm not so sure

"Do you actually know where your going exactly?" I ask him curious to see if this is just random guess work

"Exactly no, roughly yes" he replies and I sigh audibly

"I'm sorry would you like to try and figure this out?!" He yells slightly aggressively

He had a big temper when it came to protecting Chloe, no one would ever harm her on his watch, he'd promised her that after her he found out about her ex having abused her, I could tell he feels like he had let her down, we all feel like that, we had all let them be taken, they shouldn't have had a chance to get to them, it was lucky we hadn't really had like anything to drink when it happened, it would've been a lot harder to do this drunk, although I guess lucky is a relative term under these circumstances

"What are we looking for? Maybe we can help" Clark jumped in before Ryan's temper got out of hand and he cooled off to answer this question

"There's a tree with our names carved into it, I did it the first night we, well you know" Ryan said

"Wait your first time together was in the woods?!" Meyer asks most likely about to laugh his head off

"No, in the cabin that's about 20 metres away, we came out here for a relaxing getaway, she says she likes it here so much because that tree reminds her how much she loves me and how much I love her and apparently shows her how silly she was to run away from the person who loves her most" Ryan says

"Then why does she do it?" I ask curiously

"I'd guess it's to make sure I still come looking if I have to, or to prove I still worry when she runs off" he says "she only does it if the fight was really bad or about something important and she needed to think clearly and alone"

"When was the last time she came out here?" Meyer asks

"Two days ago but I was so confused because I wasn't even aware we were fighting, I just asked her if she was okay because she looked very pale and she just lost it crying, screaming and yelling, when I tried to calm her down she said she had to go think about some things, she told me not to come looking for her if she was late back but of course when it got dark I did and found her asleep by the tree" he recounts

"Wow" Clark voices what we're all thinking

"Anyway come on let's not waste time on the confusing mind of the love of my life and instead try to find her and yours too" he said and we all nodded in agreement

He headed off ahead of us, with us keeping up as best we could but only Meyer could keep up with his pace so he just bridged the gap between us and him so we didn't loose him, eventually he stopped and yelled and we came up behind him to see him stood infront of a tree with the carving 'Ryan Jerome McCartan & Chloe Celeste Hosterman in a big heart with an arrow shot through it

"This is the spot" he says and crouches down, he finds a little hollow very easily and puts his hand in, he pulls out brown paper bag

"What is it?" I ask

He pulls out another letter

"Great" Meyer says as Ryan begins to read it out load

"Well done you've gotten this far but still a long way to go so I'll give you this clue, you know who I am and I know you too, we used to be friends until you stole my girl and broke my heart so now this is revenge plain and simple, turns out your little sluts took longer to wake up than I expected, so proof of life will have to wait, I guess you're gonna have to trust me, if you could see how I'm laughing now, and Peyton don't worry, they changed Sarah's insulin pump in time, but how long does she have left? Hmm I guess we'll have to see, head up to the cabin and do what the next instructions say or someone brakes something a little more precious than a nail, perhaps maybe a leg or and arm, or maybe even a neck ~ A" he reads horrified

"Did he just threaten what I think he did?" Meyer asks

"To kill one of them yes he did" I reply quietly

"Sarah doesn't have 48 hours of insulin, not if they've already have to change it, she won't have enough" he says with a grim look on his face

"We'll find them, I promise you when we get to them Sarah will be just fine" Ryan says hoping to cheer him up a little, whatever's coming I have a distinct feeling the next task will be for Clark, that seems to be how it works, they talk about your relationship and then target you for the next task so let's hope he's ready

"Come on let's get to that cabin" Ryan says and runs off, we all pursue
