Chapter 3

"Jacqueline?" Mick walked over to me greeting me at the lobby's entrance in his Pjs. I forced on a smile despite the fact I was nearly kidnapped not to long ago.

"Hey Mick" I pulled down my hood as I gave Mick a long tight hug. I was embracing the fact I was actually free when the man could have kept me hidden against my will.

My best friend pulled away with a confused worried look "What was that for?" I ran my hand through my dark messy hair "I missed you" I really meant that but he would not have understood so I kept it in a joking manner.

Mick let out an awkward chuckle"Okay, did you go to a bar or something?" He felt my head seeing if I had a temperature or something.

"Um no" I shoved him rolling my eyes sarcastically "I'm to young".

Mick shook his head with a sly smile "Your the age here"

"Shut up Mick" I giggled out playfully smacking him. "Keep it down you two. Your group is at breakfast please join them" A man who seemed to be the manager looked pretty annoyed as he approached us.

"Sorry" I apologized. Mick's hand pinched my butt making me squeal right as the man turned to lead us to the dining room.

The man gave me an irritated glance before proceeding. "You ass" I whispered quietly to Mick. I only got a quiet giggle as a response.

Later on that day we finally got free time for two hours. Mick wanted to visit the opera house again so even though all that happened in the morning I went with him anyway.

"This place is beautifully" Mick commented as we walked into the opera house. I never really took in all the beauty and honestly wish I had. The place was jaw dropping, I couldn't believe how much work was put into it.

"It really is" I breathed in looking straight up at the colorful artistic ceiling. I closed my eyes imagining myself dancing around the marble floors of the house.

Lost in my daze I was interrupted by a blood curdling scream from the halls. "What the fuck was that?" My friend grabbed my hand pulling me to the front desk to ask what happened.

For some reason my heart started to beat a bit fast out of anxiety. "Are you okay Jackie?" I guessed Mick probably felt my cold sweat from my hand. 'Great'

"A ghost!!" A man with a thick foreign accent came running up with a fainted woman in his arms. The front desk manager quickly assisted him as others crowded around the scene.

I bit my lip slightly breathing in and out as the anxiety was now taking control of me "We should go" I suggested to Mick holding in my attack.

Mick looked at me for one second realizing how it affected me "Yeah, let's go" the feeling of eyes watching me in the shadows grew stronger which made the whole attack worse. I desperately ran for the door beating Mick out of the house.

"Jacqueline!" He called catching up to me down the street. I was out of breath and could not respond. My head felt heavy as a dizzy feeling controlled my body and making everything go dark in my eyes. The feet under me collapsed causing me to fall onto the cold cement ground as I was put to sleep by the darkness that blinded my vision.

Mumbles and whispers from around me awoke me and I knew one of the voices but one strange voice stood out to me and it seemed none of the other voices acknowledged it. Perhaps it was just my conscious.

"Tomorrow" The voice was more clearer and familiar. "I know you will" I knew exactly who the voice belonged to "Do not fear me my dear" he was inside my mind. It was him.
