Chapter 1 

A year ago June 2016

Graduation was a dream that I never thought would come true in the 18 years of my life. Ever since I was in kindergarten I would always daydream about getting my diploma and walking off that stage in cap and gown. Now here I was, an official highschool grad. It went by fast and the feeling of freedom was just starting to kick in.

Today was the first day of summer and the day I was to go on a graduation trip to France with all my school friends. I was so excited since this was gonna be my very first time out of the country.  I loved Europe, I always wanted to visit there and well now I was.  

By the time I got onto the plane I began to have a strange weird feeling but I could never put my finger on what it was. "You okay?" My best guy friend Mick questioned me in a worried one.

I smiled widely as I playfully nudged him "Of course I am, I'm just so excited" Mick nodded with a grin back "I can't wait"

Positioning myself for a nap in my seat I simply agreed "Neither can I"

Finally we made it to Paris, the land of "Love" so they say. It truly was beautiful however, It was breathtaking seeing all the old monuments, opera houses and villages beneath us as we landed.

"Mick!!" I excitedly shook my friend awake. "Stop je-" His jaw dropped open as he glanced out the plane window. "We made it" he cheered jumping in his seat like an excited 5 year old making me burst into a fit of laughter.

Soon we were unpacking in our luxurious French hotel rooms but we had to be quick because already we were signed up for a tour at 5pm and it was 4:45pm.

I shared a room with an annoying girl who always thought she was the queen of the world which pissed me off but at least I was there in Paris.  

"Now here are the rules" Kenzy spoke up getting my attention. "Bedtime is at 10:30, do not sit on your phone till 2am or else I will tell the chaperone and-" Thankfully she was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Girls you have 20 minutes, we are meeting in the lobby" A chaperone called from our door. "Thank you" Kenzy and I answered in a unison.

Just as she turned back to me I leaped into the bathroom with an outfit in my hand so I could avoid her stupid list of rules.

I slipped on a pair of light ripped jean shorts, a white flowy crop top, a cute black and white floral cameo and a pair of cute strapped egyptian looking sandals along with a silver necklace, aviators, and  a small black purse bag. "Cute" I smiled at myself in the mirror. Luckily my make-up was still perf all I had to add was red lipstick but otherwise I looked nice.

"Jackie we are gonna be late" Kenzy warned from the door. I huffed "Chill Kenz" I grumbled as I sprayed some Sugar perfume on before leaving the bathroom.  

I waltzed out ignoring the fact Kenzy was legit waiting for me at the front door. "Now as we walk down there let me finish the ru-" Mick met us at the top of the stairs quickly cutting in "Heya Jaq" he secretly gave me the let's get away from her look.  

"Listen Kenz I totally understand okay?" I took out my phone looking at the time "Now we will see you at the tour, alright? Bye" with that Mick and I nearly ran down the stairs and into the lobby getting as far away from her as we could.

"Dude thank you so much for saving me from her she is crazy" I giggled catching my breath. Mick took my hand leading me to a seat on the bus "No prob, no one likes her"
