Chapter 11
**Mick's POV**
After a long talk about the Phantom and his life I understood a lot more. It seemed really weird to believe all that but I had to. This was the only way I could save Jacqueline.
"So I have to protect James?"
The woman nodded slowly "I strongly advise you to Keep him in a safe place so I can help you find Jacqueline. Do not tell James that she is missing." She pulled out a gun from a pocket in her dress. "The phantom will do anything to kill him"
I gasped as I backed away from her "Dude, why a gun?!"
The lady forced it into my hand "Safety"
Why would I need a gun for safety against ghosts? "Your crazy number one and two they are already dead" I stared widely at the pistol keeping my fingers far away from the trigger.
"There is a man who obsesses over the Phantom and tries to cover up for him. He guards the tunnels. The way we are going in is more dangerous than the way Jacqueline goes." She explained
I forced out a chuckle in disbelief "Lady, you ain't telling me I have to kill"
"You may have to but it's either that or the loss of your dear friend" She stated seriously
"Fine" I cautiously stuffed the gun into my backpack "James should be landing soon" I stood up slinging the pack over my arm
"Ah yes, meet me here at midnight and do make sure James is safe and secure" She reminded me as she shook my hand.
Her identity became very mysterious and it made me wonder "Who are you?"
The lady smiled up at me "I'm sure you heard of me in the musical of Phantom or read about me" before I could guess she disappeared into thin air.
I scratched my head completely dumbfounded. I hated all that musical stuff and reading. I only knew of the phantom of the opera because it was famous and my mom was obsessed with it. I had never seen it but I kinda knew the story.
Enough trying to guess all that, I had a friend to save and a friend to protect. This was all crazy, to think I would have to deal with supernatural stuff. Ghosts weren't real to me until now.
"Mick?"
I blankly lifted my head up to familiar face "Aye bro, your early" I sprang up nervously giving him a bro hug.
Why was he so early? I suddenly felt really anxious, I couldn't lie to him about his gf and make him stay in one spot for god knows how long. He was my one of my best friends.
"Yeah the plane landed about an hour early" He chuckled as he messed with his hair "Where's Jacqueline?"
Lie to him.
"She went out to buy you some stuff" My hands became damp so I nervously stuffed them into my pants hiding them.
"Oh, I can't wait to see her man" He excitedly grinned widely. I could see the love that he had for her in his eyes. I had never seen a guy so in love. I wished a girl could look at me and love me the way James loved Jacqueline.
"Yeah she can't either" I smiled back. Now I had to lock him up, it was the only choice I had. "Yo dude come with me" I motioned him down the janitor's hall.
Halfway down I led him into a small room that had no windows or lights. It was like a janitor's closet but a bit bigger.
"Why here?" James giggled in confusion.
