Benson's POV

After we discussed what our options were, we came up with a plan. Our plan was to use the security cameras in the hallways and the ones placed all over the hospital to track down Detective Haz and Abbie. Once we found out where they are, we're going to go there and save Abbie from the COT. It was a pretty straightforward plan- find them and save Abbie.

Before we could go through with the plan, the first thing we had to do was convince the doctor in charge to let me leave the hospital. The doctor wouldn't give me the green light at first since I was supposed to stay overnight under their supervision, but Detective Higgins managed to change the doctor's mind.

"Alright I'll let you leave," the doctor sighed. "But you have to promise me you'll come back tomorrow for followup checkup."

"Yes, I will be sure to do that," I promised. "Thank you so much, Doctor."

"Be careful with your wound. You don't want the stitches to bust open or anything," he warned before going to see his other patients.

With the doctor's permission, we were one step closer to saving Abbie. I went back to my room to change out of the blue hospital gown I currently had on. Detective Higgins had gotten me some clean clothes since the ones I wore earlier had blood all over it.

I pulled the white t-shirt over my head, wincing at the pain on my side right when Detective Higgins came walking in. He had gone to the security office to look over the security camera footage just moments ago.

"You're back already?" I asked in surprise. It was less than 10 minutes ago since he left.

"It wasn't that hard to find them. They were caught perfectly on camera," he explained. "I have the license number of the car they left in. One of my officers at the station is finding out where they went right now."

I let out a breath of air I didn't know I was holding. "That's great news, Detective. I was a little worried they wouldn't be captured on camera."

"Are you ready to go?" he asked me, noticing that I was no longer wearing the blue hospital attire. "We should go to my car now. They'll find their location soon." Just as those words left his mouth, his phone began to ring. Brrringgg!! Brrringgg! Detective Higgins took his phone out of his back pocket and held it up for me to see. Incoming Call From Drake, it read on the ringing phone screen. "See I told you, kiddo. They work fast."

Detective Higgins spoke on the phone as we took an elevator down to the underground parking lot.

"Mhm hm, yes. uh huh.. " he agreed quietly along with whatever the other person was saying on the other line. "Thank you.. send me the..."

I watched the digits decrease on the rectangular screen as I tapped my fingers on the railing impatiently. What were they talking about? What did the officer find out? Did they find out where Abbie is?

Ding! The elevator slid open. We arrived at the underground parking lot and stepped out. Detective Higgins walked ahead of me and I followed him to an old brown compact car. He stopped by the driver's side, still on the phone, and motioned for me to get inside the car first.

I complied and shut the door after I got in the passenger seat. Tap tap tap... tap tap tap.... My fingers unconsciously started to move again in anxiety as I waited for him to finish the phone call.
