I kicked and lashed out and tried to move my hand up to see if I could grab hold of his wrist so that I could stall him, but it was no use. He held me tight and pushed me down on the bed. Another Watcher came around and restrained my right hand and leg. They also fastened another belt to the bed which went around my middle and I was unable to move or free myself.

Dr Martins turned towards the nurse and instructed her to prepare something. I could see the nurse flinch a little and then look at me and back at Dr Martins. She then went to a cupboard which was fitted with glass doors and she took out a vial of some kind of liquid with a syringe and needle.

I watched her take it over to Dr Martins and she backed away with her head looking at the floor. I knew then that this had to be serious.

The nurse moved away slowly towards the door area and then slipped out. The Watchers stood beside me like body guards as Dr Martin's moved up towards my arm.

"Now Lacey, you will find out that we have ways to make you tell us everything, so we will start off with a drug that we use on some of our more reluctant patients".

He placed a tourniquet on my upper arm and then held my arm down while pressing to feel a vein. The needle was quick and painless and I winched slightly as I felt the serum entering my arm. At first I thought it might be a truth serum, but my hands started heating up like they did when I was on one of my assignments. The heat spread along my palms to my finger tips and started to move around my wrists. The heat was becoming unbearable and sweat started to form on my brow as I felt my hands getting hotter and hotter.

Suddenly the blue light that I had seen when I was with Slade started forming in each hand. At first it was a small dot the size of a dollar coin, then it swirled around outside of my hand like a whirling tornado.

I could see the surprise on Dr Martin's face as they moved away from my hand and the two balls of light merged together above my body.

The now large ball of light moved around and around faster and faster and then memories of my past, of Slade, of the CWT members and my parents all came together like a digital photo album.

The movement in the swirling blue mist started to create the same reaction within my body that I had when Slade was in my arms. I felt a build-up of strength within me and I realised that this ball of light was my energy, my memories, my life and I could control it. The movement was creating a wind tunnel in the room and papers started flying off the desks. My hair started whipping around my face as it moved faster above me. I knew there would be an explosion and I only hoped it was big enough to throw everyone off their feet and maybe allow me to get out of these restraints and off this bed.

I felt it grow and I felt my energy surge with it. I turned my head to face Dr Martin's and noticed that he was looking at me with a mixed expression of awe and fear. He looked around the room at the furniture moving and at the smaller items on the desks toppling over and shouted something to one of the lab people. I couldn't hear it as his voice seemed far away from where I was, even though I knew he was standing close to the bed.

I felt the surge coming and I was going to aim it the best as I could towards Dr Martins and the Watchers. I looked again towards where they were standing and then felt a sharp prick in my arm and everything disappeared. I looked to where the pain came from and saw Dr Martins standing next to me with another syringe.

My head felt heavy and my arm felt numb from the injections.

"Splendid wasn't it. How very impressive you are Lacey. Now rest and I will see you again tomorrow for some more fun".

I tried to reply but my eyes were closing and soon everything faded and only blackness surrounded me.

I don't remember what time I woke. I didn't even know whether it was morning or night, but when I looked at my dressing table I could see a tray of food that was obviously dinner so I knew that Mirabelle must have delivered it at some stage.
