~Twenty Four~
"Here it goes." I whispered to myself as I stepped onto the school property. I didn't know what to expect really, I mean a few days ago I was considered cool, I think, and had 'friends,' but I could be considered the loser again.
I climbed up the stairs and hesitated to open the door, but everything happens for a reason right?
1. 2. 3. Push.
I don't know my I was so weirded out by stepping onto campus no one was here yet. The halls were clear due to the fact I got here extra early, but I liked it. It let me collect my thoughts a bit, and I was able to catch up on some work before class. I tried to concentrate on everything but what's happened the last few days but I found myself conflicted. I sat down on a bench near the library and just closed my eyes.
Amie. Amie. Amie.
I needed her back. She was my only real friend, but I don't know if she'd take me back. After what I did I wouldn't even forgive myself, but that's the thing with Amie, she is forgiving. She'll forgive me in a heartbeat, I know it, she has to.
"What are you doing here so early?" My thoughts were interrupted by an anonymous voice. I turned my head a bit to see who was talking to me and it turned out to be Louis. I never hated Louis, I consider him a friend, but he could have glasses on and rock them, but me? I couldn't look nice with my glasses if I tried.
"Just here. I-I needed time alone so I got here before everyone, like usual." I gave a shrug.
"Mind if I sit?" He asked. I moved my backpack and motioned him towards the seat. "So?"
"So" I mimicked. "Hows life?"
"You know. It's been better. I mean your brother is something." He gave a dry laugh. "He misses you Mar, you know that right."
"Did he put you up to this? I don't need another lecture, please, if you're going to start talking-"
"Calm down." He put his hands up in defense. "I'm not trying to get you all worked up, it's just that he doesn't see the old you. He liked that one better than the one that's here now."
"What are you blind? I'm wearing my regular clothes I'm still me." I defended myself.
"Physically, sure, but mentally you aren't. You aren't the same. I;m sorry to say it but you aren't. The Marcel I know wouldn't hurt his best friend and leave her for some skank. The Marcel I know would definitely pick a girl over his brother. Where are you Mar?" He looked me straight in the eyes. "I don't want to get on your bad side, but just think before you act, yeah? Don't break Amie's heart anymore she's going through enough as it is." He gets up and dusts his pants off.
"Lou, what's going on with Amie?" I looked up at him.
"That's for her to tell not me. I'll talk to you later Mar. Do good." He started walking away.
"You mean do well!" I called out.
"No, I mean do good."
