A/N: I'm changing things up a bit, such as it isn't going to be Mordred who is supposed to kill Arthur and also Kara isn't going to be in this either.

(S5E1)

//3rd Person POV//

"Knights of Camelot, Countrymen, Friends," King Arthur stands at the round table. "I welcome you to this meeting of the Round Table." He smiles down at his sister, then to his wife. "For three long years we have been blessed with peace and prosperity, but now it seems there has been a shadow cast across our land. Sir Gwaine set off for Ismere some six weeks ago, in search of our missing men, he and his group have not sent word back to us. Sir Elyan led another search party, there was no trace of them."

//Scarlet's POV//

Elyan, Arthur, Gwen, Gaius, Merlin, and I gather around a map as Elyan tells us he fears Morgana is the one behind all of our knight's disappearances.

"If this is true then we must leave quickly, there is no time to lose."

"Sire, this is what Morgana would want."

"I'm completely aware of that, but a knight of Camelot doesn't leave their own."

"Then why don't we approach them from Annis's land." Gwen suggests.

Arthur nods. "If Annis would allow it. We ride at dawn, but remember, no one must know of our intentions." Arthur nods at each of us.

After our little meeting I follow my brother out. "I'm coming with you." Arthur looks at me and shakes his head. "It isn't safe."

"I'm not going to let you go out there with dozens more of our men Arthur. Besides, Morgana has magic, you'll need someone with magic there with you incase things go down wrong."

Arthur considers it a moment before sighing. "May as well just come along on all my missions if you're going to keep using that excuse on me." I smile. "Thank you."

I've been able to convince Arthur to allow me on missions with him by using magic as an excuse. Sure it's manipulative but I really miss being able to be out in the forest.

//Merlin's POV//

We arrive in an abandoned village. Bodies are strewn about. Scarlet stares in horror as she searches for survivors. I go to follow Arthur but I'm caught off guard by someone whispering my name through the wind. "Emrys."

I follow the sound into a cave-like thing to where I find an old man. At first I wasn't sure if he was alive. He had a druid marking, but it had another symbol covering it. The man catches me off guard by grabbing my wrist and pulling me closer to him. "I've dreaded this moment for many years."

"The prophet's speak of the Pendragon's bane. It would be well to fear it. You must act quickly Emrys, or you cannot alter their fate." The man lets out a shaky breath before dropping his hand in the puddle of water next to him. What happens in the water mesmerizes me.

A war rages on, Scarlet stands alone on the battlefield as someone with an unrecognizable face makes his way to her, sword drawn. But there is one thing noticeable about the person, he was a druid. Her eyes widen as if she recognizes the person, but any recognition fades as the blade is thrust into her stomach, sending her down on the ground in a pool of blood. Arthur watches from afar, fear on his face, the scene changes and it shows Arthur sitting in his chambers, a depression taking over him at the loss of his sister.

"Is he alive?" Arthur's voice pulls me out of my thoughts.

"What is it?" He asks after noticing my solemn expression. I shake my head. "Well come on then, we're leaving as soon as we give these people a proper burial." I nod and Arthur walks out.
