Chapter Four

Alivia Durrant

"Why don't you take a walk around campus, get to know people!" My mom suggested over facetime. She had a hard time being away from me for too long, which I don't blame her for. It just gets annoying sometimes.

"Are you sure? I don't want people to think I'm weird," I cringed, pressing my hands against my cheeks.

"Everyone will love you, I promise."

"Are you sure? I mean-"

"Stop," She interrupted, "Everyone will love you!"

I took a deep breath, letting my head slowly nod. "Okay, I'll take your advice and walk around campus."

"Good, be confident! Try making new friends," She explained, seeming excited.

"I don't want to be known as one of those cheesy girls who tries being friends with everyone," I gagged.

"I'm hanging up now, go have fun. And don't worry about your rude roommate! Bye," She hung up, right as I was about to speak.

I threw the phone on my bed, growling. I was always nervous to meet new people. I just hated watching them look at me like I had some sort of Disease.

I opened the front door, slowly walking out of the room. "You can do this Alivia, don't freak yourself out."

I started walking towards campus, watching groups of people rush by. A waterfall stood in the center of campus, so I decided to sit near it, enjoying the glorious view.

I took a seat, pulling out my laptop that I just so happened to bring with me. I started writing Chapter Four of my book, 'There She Goes'

--

"Her names Jane, have you heard of her?" Cody asked a tall brunette by the name of Kelsey, who seemed suspicious when bringing up Jane.

"I have not heard of her, maybe you should ask someone else," She turned her back on him, obviously holding her breath as she quickly walked the opposite direction.

He didn't personally know Jane, but wanted everything in his power to see her. Everyone pretended like she didn't exists, which only brought Cody to worry.

I have to find her. The beautiful girl from my dreams.

He continued his search, writing down every description he remembered.

"Cody right?" A rather short girl approached him, apparently knowing him.

"Y-Yeah, how do you know me?"

"You're looking for Jane Lennet right?" She continued to question, gaining more and more of Cody's attention.

"Yes! Do you know her? Can you help me find her?" He rose his voice, dodging at the small girl.

"We're friends, at least we used to be," She took a deep breath, "She likes keeping to herself. But I'd be happy to help you look for her."

"Really! Thank you so much," He wrapped his large hands around for a hug, getting a little too excited.

"No problem," She chuckled, "Have you gone to her house yet?"

"Yeah, her parents can't find her and are really worried," He stated, widening his eyes at the thought of his dream girl missing, "People are acting like she doesn't exist."

"She exist's alright. Let's go."

--

Writing was my escape, I felt so connected to my story it was crazy. I shut my computer screen, knowing I was going to finish writing later.

I looked up, seeing him. The guy I never expected, nor wanted to see. Louis? He walked with the same group of friends, laughing hysterically and giving girls despicable winks.

Not able to help myself I dropped my jaw, trying to hide my face but it was too late. He spotted me, quickly rushing towards me.

"Jesse!" He gasped, opening his arms and creeping towards me.

"Jesse? Who's Jesse?" I jumped over a spot, avoiding his hug at all costs.

"You're names Jessee right?"

"No! It's Alivia," I snapped, already sick to my stomach at the thought of this douche bag standing in front of me.

"That's right, Alivia from the coffee shop," He smirked, rubbing his bare chin. It made me more uncomfortable knowing his idiotic friends where behind him.

"Is that what I'm known as? The girl from the coffee shop? Wow," I rolled my eyes, cringing profusely.

"No-No! That's not what I mean, you're the very 'cute' girl from the coffee shop," He stated, thinking it would help the situation.

"You're so dumb," I mumbled under my breath, turning the opposite direction so I didn't have to look at him.

I could feel him sit next to me, not realizing how much I hate him.

"You're very beautiful Liv," He grinned, attempting to put his hand on my leg, but I pushed it away.

"Get the hell away from me! I'm not one of your dumb puppies that are used for your pleasure!" I blurted, standing up and rushing back towards the dorms.

"Baby, please don't go!" He begged, following me.

What the hell was his problem! He's the biggest fuck boy I've ever met!

"What did I tell you! Fuck off," I turned around for the slightest second to make that comment.

Luckily he didn't continue following me after I said that. I would've had the biggest break down if he did.

I walked back to my dorm, opening the door slowly incase my nasty roommate was back from her scavenger hunt. And of course, she was.

"Eh, you're back," She cringed, sending me evil glances.

I rolled my eyes, walking into the room with my belongings, "So what did they say about me?"

"Fuck off," She growled, obviously not wanting anything to do with me.

I defensively took a step backwards with my hands in the air until I reached my bed, "Jeez, sorry. You don't have to be so rude."

"How can I not be? Look at you, then look at me," She pointed at us both, scowling, "We're two different people. We obviously don't have anything in common so how will we get along?"

"You don't even know me. How could you predict that?" I rose my eyebrow,  thinking this chic was psychic or something.

"You look like a girly-girl, plus you where a lot of makeup."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Her entire face was covered in makeup which is why she looked goth. "Excuse me? I'd like to inform you that I'm not girly, so don't be so judgy."

"What do we have in common then?" She cocked her head with a fake grin, for some reason knowing I didn't know what to say.

"First you have to tell me a little about you so I can compare."

"Okay," She nodded, "I like 5 Seconds Of Summer- Music in general. Drawing, Piano, and writing."

"Really! I love all those things. 5SOS is my favorite band, and I'm actually writing a book," I said, feeling some sort of friendship between us two.

"Are you sure? You don't have to pretend to have something in common with me-"

"No I'm dead serious! I'm not the person to lie," I smiled, resting my head against the bed. I could already see our friendship developing.
