then she sinks
down to her knees
her patience has been tried
she's way beyond tired
and she wants to go home

yet she stays
if only for a day
looking, searching, for something
she doesn't know
and she wants to go home

picking locks
while the city mocks
and laughs at her every move
she's crumbling from the inside out
and she wants to go home

finding love in alleyways
hoping that somebody stays
but they never do
all her body does is shake
because of all her poor mistakes
and she wants to go home

but she can't find home anymore
they kicked her out and locked the door
she's past the point of no return
and everyday her insides burn
she screams and cries but no one listens
still her heart can feel the distance
between what she had
and all the things she has yet to grab
but her grip is too weak
and her future is bleak
no one hears her pleas
and no one else around her sees

as she sinks down to her knees
her patience has been tried
she's way beyond tired

and she wants to go home.
