I couldn't stop staring at her.

Today I made sure to bring the most spellbinding book I owned just to restrain myself from peeking at her. But nothing could be more spellbinding than Angelina with her beautiful green eyes. I'd give a lot just to get a closer look at them, just to know which shade of green they actually are.

But she's extremely captivating and mysterious –in a good way- and I'm me. Just a normal guy with regular black hair, extremely boring blue eyes, unlike hers. You'd think that after a month of her coming every single day I'd have plucked up the courage and have spoken to her but, nope. Yeah that's how much of a coward I am.

My greatest success was knowing her name. It's not like I was the one who asked for it, I just heard the barista call her name so she could pick up her order but still, it felt like I discovered a part of her.

Today, she was glancing everywhere around her –everywhere but me-, constantly checking the door as if expecting someone. Which was weird because she never came accompanied. Somehow, this made me tense too and I followed her gaze every time she looked at the door.

A few minutes later, she left and made her way to the ladies' room. My eyes fell on the notepad she left open on the table. A visual image of a little devil and an angel popped in my head with the devil saying "Just one quick glance, for the sake of knowing her" I even imagined the devil pulling a devious smile while saying so. From the other side, the imaginary angel was practically pulling his halo off screaming "INVASION OF PRIVACY!!"

Unfortunately, curiosity got the best of me and I made my way to her table by the window while cautiously looking at the ladies' room to make sure she's not coming.

Even her notepad looked like her. She had written in neat, cursive today's date: September 12th, 2015.

Then the page was blank.

I flipped to the previous page where she wrote:

September 11th, 2015

Gender: Female

Age: about 17

Name: unknown

Description: Brown eyes and hair, tall with an amazing figure. Wears glasses, Wearing a blue jacket and black knee-patched jeans.

Story:  Tears fell down her cheeks as she --

But just as I was about to read the "story", I heard the bathroom door's click and immediately flipped today's page back and hurried to my table trying to act natural.

When she sat down, she started looking around again. And that's when I got it. She observes people.

She observes people, writes their description then possibly makes up a story about them.

That's why she was looking all around.  Looking for someone to write about.

It made me wonder if I was somewhere there, in her notepad.

Then I remembered the girl she was talking about. She had sat just behind me, crying silently. I had asked her if she was okay and she had replied "I'm fine really, thanks" managing a sad smile.

I glanced back at her and suddenly, probably for the first time ever, she glanced back. We locked eyes for a moment then she looked away. I felt heat rush to my cheeks and I looked away too.

Pathetic, that's what I am.

I looked back at my book, promising myself that I'd make an effort and try to talk to her tomorrow.

So here's chapter two!
This is the first time I write an actual story but I promise it gets better.
