Meanwhile, Micky and Davy were inside doing the dishes. "So do you think Mike has a crush on Jean?" Davy asked.
Micky answered, "I don't know, he's probably just trying to make her feel welcome."
"I think he's 'trying to make her feel welcome', if you know what I mean." Micky hit him.
"Hey!"
Mike came inside. "Hey, guys, you wanna play some songs for Jean?"
"Oh, um, no, " Micky replied.
"Yeah, we're doing the dishes," Davy continued.
"Huh." Mike was confused. Why wouldn't they want to play for Jean? It wasn't such a bad decision, though... He grabbed his guitar and went back outside.
"You just might be right," Micky discretely whispered back to Davy. "I have never seen him like this in front of a girl. He better not..."
"Plus, it's not me this time."
They continued in silence, both pondering what and why Mike is doing what he's doing.

Jean was anxious. Not shaking anxious, but in between. Nobody had played for her, ONLY her, before. Being alone with someone was the best and worst thing that could happen.
Mike came back out with his guitar. "Yeah, so the guys are all doing their own thing but I'll play for you."
She giggled. "I don't know Micky as the man to say no to a chance to show off."
"I know, he's usually the first guy to say yes."
She paused. "So how did you guys meet?"
They talked for a while, something neither she nor he had done in a long time. She never realized how much she could relate to a man she had just met. Maybe it wasn't going to be so bad after all...
