Arden's POV

"Why do you want to find him?" He asked me.

"Because he is my best friend, and I need to find him," I said, "you don't have to help, but if appreciate it."

"Why did you two run away?" He asked all of a sudden.

I looked at him and then looked out the window. "That's none of your business," I said, "are you going to help me or not?"

"I'll see," he said.

He started to walk out. "Thanks hybrid," I said.

He stopped. "What?" He said, "how do you know?"

"I wasn't fully asleep, I saw you in vampire form, running to get me here," I said, "I won't tell anyone."

"Oh," he said, then he looked down, "thank you."

He walked out and I sat back down. The nurse came in and told me to sit on my bed. I sat down and she took my tempature real quick.

"I'm going to need you to go you wolf form," she told me.

"Why?" I said.

She looked at me. "Tempature there," she said.

"No way," I said, "stay away from me." I got up and walked back to the wall.

"Arden," the nurse said.

I growled and she backed up. I turned into a wolf and bit her arm. The doctor came in and tried to control me. Then Kai came and told me to calm down. For some reason I did. I was still in wolf form, and I sat down.

The nurse was screaming and bleeding from her arm.

"What happened?" Kai's mom said, she looked at me.

I turned back into a human and was sitting on the ground. She walked up to the nurse and patched her up.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"Kai, take her to the house," she told him, he helped me up and walked me out of the hospital.

"Why did you do that?" He asked me when we were downstairs, I pushed him.

"Because, she was going to put a tempature thing in my ass," I said, "that's uncomfortable for a wolf."

"You didn't have to bite her," he told me, "now you've gotten me in trouble, A."

"A?" I said, "that isn't my name, an you know that."

"Whatever, that's your new nickname, because it's hard to remember you name," he told me, "is that alright?"

"I don't care," I said, "let's just go, please, okay."

"Get on my back," he told me. I got on and he held onto my legs as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Then he ran. My hair was blowing, he looked up at me. And I smiled. He laughed and I let go of his neck as he held onto me. I let the wind blow, keeping my arms out. He laughed again, then he stopped at a river and dropped me in.

"Really," I said, with my hair wet, he laughed and jumped in with me.

"I like your hair wet," he told me, I blushed and then splashed him with water.

We had a water fight, and he picked me up and spinned me around as the water splashed more. I laughed and he put me down.

"That's the most fun I've had," I said, "thanks this is a good recovery, Kai."

"We should get back," he said, "my parents will be mad, let's go A, okay."

I smiled. I got back on his back and before he could run, I fainted on the ground.

Everything went silent again. And all I felt was Kai's arms wrapped around me, and the wind blowing.

"She told me to help her find her best friend, Bay," I heard a voice say, "I told her I would, I can't break that promise mom, I'm sorry."

"You have to, it's to dangerous and a big risk," I heard the other voice say.

I was on a bed and could smell meat. I opened my eyes to see Kai, talking to his mother and father.

"I'm not going to," Kai said.

"It's okay," I said, holding my head, "you don't have to help, just fix me up and I'll be leaving, I can do this."

"I'm helping you," he said.

"No, your not," his mom said.

"You want me to be responsible, this'll help," he said, "I'm helping, that's it."

I layed back down and touched my hair. I felt the pillow and the smell of meat came back to me. I sat up and Kai's dad looked at me.

"I'm hungry," I said.

"I'll go get you some food," he said, Kai looked at me and his mother followed his dad out of the room.

"You don't have to go," I said.

"I want to," he said, "I didn't promise I would, but now I do, we'll find you Bay, ok."

I smiled and gave him a hug. He laughed and I felt his hair. It was still wet.

He let go of me and his mom and dad walked back inside. "You should change your clothes, your wet," his mother said handing me some clothes, I got up and walked to the bathroom.

I looked into the mirror and brushed my hair out. Then I put on the clothes. It was underwear, a bra, blue jeans, a white t-shirt, a black sweater, black converse, and socks. I put it on and then walked back out, Kai was sitting on the bed and looked at me. I smiled.

"Thanks," I said sitting next to him.

"Always," he told me, "I'm always in the mood to help."

"Are you sure your not just doing this to show your parents that your responsible?" I asked him.

"Of course not," he said, "I really want to help you, A."

"We have to leave tomorrow," I said.

He stood up. "Your not in the best shape, we should wait two days," he told me.

"No way," I said, "Bay needs me I can feel it, we are leaving tomorrow, or I can just go all by myself."

He sighed. "Fine," he said, "better get some sleep wolf."
