The Next Morning...

I woke up with my covers over my whole body including my face. I stared at my covers for a while and then looked out the window near my bed. There was a knock on my door and I looked at it as Morgan opened the door and smiled.

"Hey, your up," she said, walking in and closing my door shut again.

"Yea, I just woke up literally two minutes ago," I said smiling as I sat up on my bed, "what do you need?"

"Nobody else is awake, it's actually seven in the morning," she said smiling as she sat down on the edge of my bed.

I placed my covers over me when I noticed that my window was open, Morgan saw too and went over to close it, she laid in my bed next to me and I didn't seem to mind. She got under my covers and we just looked at the ceiling.

"You know don't you," I asked her.

"Of course," she smiled, "I always knew that you were a witch and a wolf, I also knew about Kai's little secret."

"How?" I asked.

"I know everything," she replied.

I looked at her and she smiled. Her eyes sparkled and then she sat up as the sun began to come up all the way.

"Are you a mixed creature?" I asked her.

"Oh no, I'm just a special kind of wolf," she told me, "I'm a child of the original wolf, I'm the only one alive from my family besides my sister but she doesn't live her in this pack with me."

"That's amazing," I told her, "how are you still alive? I mean, really Morgan."

"Yea, and how I am still alive is a secret," she told me, "but let's get downstairs and eat some breakfast."

"Okay, let me take a shower and stuff and then change," I said as I got out of my bed. She nodded opened my door and walked out letting it close.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and put my hair into a two braids, then I washed my face, put on lotion, perfume, and deodorant. Then I went to find an outfit after I put on a bra and my panties. I choose a normal outfit. Black pants, white shirt that said, "Little Devil," in red with flames, my white converse, and a necklace I found, when me and Kai were looking for Bay.

I walked downstairs and not everyone was there, I sat next to Bailey and she lifted her head up from the table.

"Where's Claire?" I asked her.

"She went for a walk with that boy Gabe, I think she likes him," she told me, "but I'm tired and want to go back to sleep, but Morgan woke me up."

"Same," I said, "did she tell you anything?" Bailey looked at me as she drunk her orange juice.

"No, just opened my door, and told me to wake up, that's it," she answered.

"Oh, she did the same to me, I don't know why she woke us up so early, better be a reason," I lied, "but yeah."

Morgan came downstairs with Kai and Bay, then Claire and Gabe came back and we all sat at the same table.

"So, why did you wake us up specifically?" Bay asked her, once we were all settled down with some food and something to drink.

"I talked to Kai's parents last night and they don't know for sure if Bailey and Claire can stay here," she said.

"Why?" Bailey asked.

"This is a wolf pack, you and Claire are mystic creatures but you just aren't wolves and that can be pretty dangerous," she said, "but since Arden and Kai are wolves mixed with another creature and Bay is just a wolf then they can stay, so we don't know we're to take you and Claire."

"We don't know either," Claire replied.

"How long do they get to stay?" I ask.

"A couple of weeks and then they have to leave and find family or friends to live with," Morgan answered.

"Wait," I say, "the wolves from my pack know that they are with me, if we don't protect them, they can get hurt."

"She's right," Gabe said. I forgot he was here, and I'm surprised he agreed with me, cause he wanted to get rid of me before, I guess he likes Claire back.

"Gabe," Morgan said, "you know the consequences of taking in non-wolves."

"Nobody has to know that they are here, but they need protection," he replied standing up, "since we know their secret and the wolves hunting Arden know they are with us, we should provide protection for them."

"Please," Claire said.

Morgan looked at her and Bailey and then stood up and walked to the front door leading out of the lunch room, and then she looked at all of us while holding the door handle, "I'll try and talk to Kai's parents, probably change their mind," she said, then she walked out and closed the door behind her.

I looked at my fingers and started to think about what was said.

It was silent and I decided to go back to my room, as I walked I could feel all of their eyes on me as I walked out of the lunch room and back to my room, without saying a word to any of them.

Bay's POV

"Is she okay?" I asked Bailey.

"I have no idea," she answered.

"She hasn't talked to me in a while, she used to tell me everything," I said.

"Sometimes people are scared to tell others things because they don't want to be judged," Bailey said, she got up and walked outside.

"But I'd never judge her," I whispered to myself, I decided to go to her room and talk to her because I missed her.

When I got to her room door, I knocked and waited for her to answer. After a minute or so the door opened and I was facing Arden, she looked down and invited me in without saying a word, I walked past her and she closed the door and sat down on her bed staring out of the window.

"So," I said, "we haven't really had a chance to talk in a while and I feel like there are some stuff I should know."

"I'm sorry," she finally said, "I've just been thinking a lot lately."

"I understand, if you don't want to tell me anything right now that's fine, when your ready I'll be here," I said.

She looked at me and hugged me.

"I'm gonna go for a walk, you can come if you want," she told me, "we can talk."

I nodded. We both got up and walked out of her room and headed to the woods. We walked for a while and she told me some of what was on her mind, but I felt like she was keeping something that has been bothering her the most away from me. But if she didn't want to tell me, no pressure.

I just wish that she trusted me, the way she trusted me before all of this happened, when we were best friends. Now I feel like we are just...friends.
