It was dark with a little light from the moon coming through a small window on the right side of the room. I tried to move towards it till I realized I was chained up by my hands and feet. My backpack was far away from me near a door that was about 12 feet from me, I couldn't remember anything that had happened. I was freaking out. I wanted to scream and beg for help or call for the person who had captured me. But I had to calm down if I wanted to get out of her. I sensed a smell that was recognizable, I was in my old packs territory. I immediately remembered that my brother was here too and captured maybe they were dumb enough to put us somewhat close together. I sat chris crossed and tried to smell his scent around me. The sound of a key unlocking the door stopped me and I quickly put my guard up.

A shadowy figure walked in with a tray and switched a light on, it barely lit up the whole room, but it was enough for me to see. I immediately felt frightened as I saw the Alpha standing before me.

"Hello little Arden," the deepness of his voice and the cracks in his words made my spine shiver.

I stayed silent as he walked closer and set the tray of food down in front of me with a smirk on his face. I looked down as he walked to the window with one eye on me.

"Nothing?" He said laughing, "no words at all? I mean your brave enough to come back but can't say a word."

I looked at him angrily and growled.

"Fuck you."

"After about a month, I thought you'd have at least some sympathy of seeing your biological father," he said bending down in front of me.

"You are nowhere near my father," I snickered, "you are a selfish, heartless, piece of shit, now what do you want."

"Well my dear daughter, I want to know what were your intentions for coming back," he asked.

"My brother," I said no hesitation.

"Your half brother? Oh, please," he put his pointer finger and thumb on my chin and lifted it up making me look him in the eye, "you've always had the biggest heart in the family, you know."

I moved my face from him and he laughed walking towards the door. I looked at the tray it had steak, with rice and apple sauce on the side.

"Well, I'll leave you to it," he said noticing me looking at the food with a sudden drive to want to eat.

"Why haven't you killed him?" I blurted out before he opened the door.

He looked at me with a soft smirk snapping his fingers devilishly. "For your return my little sunflower."

I looked up at him, eyes turning purple with fire and I growled trying to release myself from the chains. My fire element wasn't working and neither was earth. But I kept trying as he laughed and walked out the door. I cooled myself down after his scent disappeared meaning he was far away.

I began to eat the food releasing my hunger. Thank god my hands were chained front so I didn't have to eat with my mouth only. When I was done I looked out the window from afar trying to figure out what he meant by he kept my brother alive for me. And why my wolf got so angry from hearing that. I let him get the best of me. But I knew one thing though that being captured was beside the point and the point was not to surrender.

Flashback Arden's Past

"Arden it's time for school," I heard my mom yell from downstairs.

I grabbed my bookbag, ready with my uniform on, hair done, and everything excited for my first day back. When I got downstairs my dad and Sebastian were eating as my mom was cooking the rest of breakfast. I placed my bag down and sat, as my mom gave my my plate. Pancakes, eggs, and some apple sauce on the side. My favorite.
