I wake up to an unfamiliar white ceiling. Oh God not again. Why am I at a hospital?

Looking around me, I find Adam leaning on the door and he seems in a deep conservation with my mother. Great.

Memories from our time start playing in my mind and the last thing I remember is that we were in his car.

"Mom?" I say and my voice comes out hoarse.

"Oh baby how are you feeling? Do you need anything? Adam please get her some water." She starts babbling and my head starts spinning again.

"Mom I'm good. How did I get here?" I ask and she looks at Adam. He nods and comes to sit on the chair beside the bed. My mother gets out of the room and I'm left completely confused.

"Yesterday.." Adam starts but I cut him off immediately.

"Yesterday? What the heck? I'm here from yesterday?" I ask him, shock clear in my voice.

"Can you please shut up? Don't cut me off so that I can explain." He says.

"Asshole." I whisper to myself but maybe he heard me because he is shooting me a death glare.

"When you were in my car, something weird happened. You couldn't hear me and you started blinking rapidly.. Oh and you puked in my car, you'll pay for that later."

"I did not!" I snap and I see that he is hiding his smile.

"Yes you did. Anyway, the doctor said that this is something normal and you should have some rest.. Obviously, eating like an animal won't help you either." He says sarcastically and I stick out my tongue in a childish way.

"Are..are you okay now?" He stutters and if I'm not wrong, his eyes hold something like..fear?

"Yeah I'm fine. Thank you for bringing me here and thanks for the time we spent together. I really had fun." I say and he relaxes immediately.

"Me too."

The day flies by quickly and I spend most of the time thinking of a way to get out of here. Thanks to Ray, I ate ice cream and I'm in a better mood now. Maybe what we need to escape this awful world, is some food. Ok No.

Adam left after our little conversation. I don't know why I see something in his personality, every time I see him, I feel like he is hiding something about him. He seems like a jerk from the outside, but what I really saw is that he is a good person. He knows how to hide his emotions perfectly well. When I look in his eyes, I can see and feel the fear, the worry and the care.

Actually, I don't know what he is hiding, but I can tell that he cares about me. It is obvious, and I'm grateful for that. We can be good friends after all..

"Amelia! Oh come on wake up." This is the 10th time Ray says this sentence. After I left the hospital, my mother took us to a small shop and Ray wants to go again. Here she is, being annoying as fuck.

"Shut up or I'm going to show you the perks of being fit."

"What does that even mean?" She asks and I smile evilly.

"It means that I'm going to punch you right on your small nose."

"Oh." I laugh and she gives me her serious face.

"Come on let's go to that shop! I'll take you to The Soul. Pleaseee." She pouts and makes those puppy eyes.

"Fine!" I give up and agree to her offer. She's so dead if she isn't going to take my to The Soul. It's been a long time since I ate ice cream from there.

I put on a simple black top with black jeans, a white converse and my hair in a ponytail. However, Ray is still wondering what kind of dress she should wear..

Finally, we decide to walk to the shop. It's a 40 minute walk but the road is full of trees.. I guess it won't be that boring.

Ray's phone breaks the silence and she looks at the screen and smile. I already know it's Calum.

"Hello." She says.

I don't like being nosey so I look around me to avoid their conversation.

"What? Where are you?" She asks in a serious but loving voice and I give her a questioning look.

"Okay we'll be there in time." She says and hangs up.

"What's going on?" I ask her and she smiles widely.

"Calum is here and he is waiting for us near the campus." She squeaks and I laugh.

"We are on our way to your stupid shop.. It's a long walk to campus." I tell her.

"I don't care. You're coming with me." She insists and I huff in response.

She's so dead. I want to go to The Soul!!

The walk to campus is full of squeaking, smiling and blushing. Obviously, Ray is so into this guy and I hope he'll do his best to keep her.

I know this is rediculous of me, but I wish that someone can come and make me happy just like Ray is. Yeah I still have feelings for Sam but that won't change the fact that he is an ass. He probably thinks that I can't live without him but that isn't the truth. I have to get over him sooner rather than later.

Speaking of guys, Calum is something. I mean I'm still standing in front of him for five minutes without saying a word. Not even a Hello. Is he from heaven or something?

"Um.. Hello?" He says and I look at him in the eyes. Stop it Amelia he's your bestfriend's boyfriend.

"Hello. I'm Amelia." I say politely and he smiles.

"I already know that. Ray talks about you all the time."

"Well she's head over heals about me." I joke and he laughs. Oh my God! Did I just make a lame joke? Oh no.

I can already tell that Calum and Ray are unaware that I'm still walking with them. Actually, they aren't aware that this is a street. Yepp, here I am, being a third wheel.

"Do you want to go inside?" I ask them when we walk in front of The Soul.

"Yeah that would be awesome. Ray told me about this ice cream shop." Calum says and I smile. Everyone is in love with this ice cream..

I order a Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge ice cream and both Ray and Calum order a Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream.

What the fuck do they put in these ice creams? This is so addicting. I'm already on my second one and this is definitely not healthy. Seeing that I'm a cancer patient, I probably won't be losing my appetite soon.

When Calum kisses Ray, I turn my head to the side. What I'm seeing now is far more than "Calum kissing Ray." It's my father..

Believe me, it's not that I don't want to see him, it's the fact that he is holding a gun.

A/N: Hello guys! I know it's been a long time (13 days..) and I'm sorry for that. I have to study well for my exams and I really don't have time to update daily. Also, I know this chapter is short but I'm going to update again in 2 days..
