"Your house will burn, along with everything you ever owned, excluding the diamonds and money of course. Riane. Riane! RIANE!!"
"What!!?? Why are you saying my name!" I screamed into the phone... wait the phone was gone. I was lying on the floor.
"Riane, I was saying your name because you were knocked out!" Ann yelled, waving her hands.
"Did the police get him?"
"Get who? Are you okay? Oh wait, you're probably still drunk. Let's get you home."
I grabbed her shoulder. "I was drunk?"
She nodded slowly, then smiled and giggled. "You don't remember anything, do you?"
"When did I get drunk?" This was crazy.
"After I talked to Rogan and you said he was flirting with me we went to the bar for a few drinks... then you started making bets and that one hot guy bought you some vodka, and..."
What did I do? Da fuq. "Wait you're telling me I got so drunk I passed out?"
"Yeah." She giggled. "I don't know if you want me to tell you the other things you did..."
"Lawd have mercy." My head fell into my hands and I took a deep breath. "Just tell me I didn't go into any rooms with random guys."
She hesitated.
"Oh Hell NO. I did?" I grabbed her arm, shaking it ever so slightly.
"Well, not a random guy. He said he knew you and you were loving on him. You actually were really emotional too. You guys made out and disappeared... then I saw you passed out in the room on the floor and the guy was gone..." Her voice shook a little as she said her last words. "Your clothes were still on though, and it didn't look like you ever took them off. So that's a plus?" She smiled meekly, her hands clasped together.
"Did you know the guy?" Who was it? I had a feeling it was one of my early ex's... but there was still a glimmer of hope... Trojan..
"I don't know, but I feel like I've seen him before. He never said his name. Or wait..."
"Wait what?" I squeezed her arm.
"Alex... no I forget his name. Sorry."My heart sunk. It was Alexander wasn't it. I don't even like him that much. I'm literally just using him to take away Trojan's persistent image in my head. I should stop. "Okay, well I think I'll go home. I should probably clean up and get ready for work tomorrow."
Ann nodded. "Okay, I'll see you next tursday then?"
"Hopefully before that. We need to talk more." I patted her arm then turned and headed outside. The lights against the dark sky blurred and the sound of heels on the concrete pounded in my ears. I couldn't still be intoxicated. Dude I was so stupid. My feet brought me to my car and I fumbled with my keys. Sliding them shakily into the lock, I swung open the door and got in. Sitting in the drivers seat, I froze. Something wasn't right. Can't hear anything. I turned around in my seat and shifted sideways. Glancing in the back, I didn't see anything, so slid the key into the ignition and backed out of the parking lot.
Who was it? Was it really Alexander? I mean, I'd told her about Alex... which meant she could've just put two and two together and come up with his name. Or... what if it was actually some random dude? Ew gross ughhghgb aughh so gross. I'll just stop thinking about it. Shit. That was a noise. That was a noise. In my car. There's someone in my car. Oh my Lord help me. Don't freak out. Act like you can't hear them. Alright, we'll just fake a phone call to your friend, but you'll actually be calling the police. No. That won't work they'll freaking hear you. Maybe if I pull over. SHIT OH MY GOSH they're moving closer to me. JESUS PLEASE LET ME BE OKAY.
I pulled over and quickly put it in park. My hands were shaking and I was audibly gasping for air. They could tell I knew they were there.
A hand grabbed my shoulder. "NO!!" I screamed and swung my arm. My hand connected with the persons jaw and they grunted and "Oww!" My nose was bleeding.
"Sorry." He said. I recognized that voice. No matter, I wasn't getting raped tonight. I grabbed the handle and swung the door open. Scrambling out, I landed on my knees and shuffled forward. "StOp!" I felt a scream escape my mouth as his hand gripped my leg. I thrashed my legs and pulled free of him, staggering to my feet. Run like there's no tomorrow. I ran as fast as my feet could carry me. I ran down the sidewalk, through an alley, past the park... I had to find a police station. I'd just call them. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911. Standing there, I looked around. It was dark and a light across the street flickered ominously. The wind was bitter and chilled me to the bone. Drawing in a shaky breath, I responded to the lady on the line. "A-A man is chasing me. I don't know who he is... I didn't see him either... He was in my car... and" I took a breath. My head was pounding.
"Where are you honey? We'll send a cop to you right now."
"Um..." I started choking up. "Sorry, this is just so scary." A tear slid down my cheek. Ew. I quickly wiped it off. Crying was weak. "I'm on the intersection of Mor- Mmf!!"
CRACK! My phone flew in different directions upon hitting the ground.
I was held tight against a mans body, his hand over my mouth. "Don't worry, it'll be okay." He whispered.
Sure it will.
I breathed something in, it wasn't air. The world began spinning and a I suddenly felt a headache coming on. "Let me go.." I peeled his hand off my mouth and staggered forward a few steps. Then, the world started fading. It went black.
