The sun burst through the clouds and cast rays across the bleak landscape. The door to Dawns apartment squeaked open and a firm hand reached around it. Turning the lights on, the blonde and ruffled haired model stepped into the room. A worried expression twitched at his features. He slowly made his way down the hall and into Dawns room. The lights were off and it was empty. He left that room and made his way to the kitchen. His hair was wet and scruffy, sticking up in all directions. His skin was a caramel tan from all the time he spent outside, his arms were thick and his shirt hugged his form tight, you could see his nicely chiseled body. He looked around then spotted Riane's figure on the floor.

"Riane!" His voice burst from his chest and he ran over to her, dropping to his knees. He pulled her up into his arms and held her against his warm body. "Riane I can't lose you. Wake up. Please!" He kissed the top of her head and hugged her tighter.

Riane blinked open her eyes and stiffened for a split second before she saw Trojan's worried face. He looked perfectly well and his face was beautiful, clean shaven and perfect. "Trojan." She breathed, then wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes as relief and happiness flowed over her like a wave. "I thought you were hurt!" She sniffed, then looked up at his face. She started, falling out of his arms and staring up at him in shock. "Trojan!?"

He took a shaky breath and and managed a meek smile. "Don't worry, I'll come back for you." His cheeks were now bloody and bruised and he was as pale as a ghost. He looked like how he had on tv.

"What's going on?" Riane took a sharp breath and stood up, going back over to Trojan.

He looked up at her and cupped a hand over his mouth, then gasped. "I'm dying Riane!"

Riane jolted up and jumped to her feet, stumbling over to the counter and rubbing her eyes. Thank God that had been a dream... But she had to get to Trojan. Fast.

This was terrifying. Trojan had been rushed to the hospital with critical injuries and depending on how long Riane had been passed out, he could be dead by now. Riane shook her head. No, the doctors knew what they were doing. He would be fine and she would go and see him. He would smile and they would kiss because it would be perfect and romantic. Riane smiled and grabbed her keys. He'll be fine.

She ran out to her car and hopped in, then sped off in the direction of the hospital. Her foot pressed the pedal harder and harder, the police were all off somewhere else. Apparently someone had been hit by a car or something? They were fine though, according to the radio there were minor injuries.

She pulled into the parking lot and ran to the door. It was like she was on autopilot. She just had to get to his room, fast.

"Hello who are you here for?"

"Trojan Matthews." Riane gasped, having run to the desk from her car.

The secretary nodded. Then looked at her computer. "He's in room 213."

"Thank you!" Riane ran up the stairs and skidded to a halt at the entrance to the hallway.

"I'm afraid you can't come this way right now." A nurse stopped her.

"Why not?" Riane said a little too loudly.

The nurse frowned. "The doctors need the hallway clear, a patient is in critical condition and they are administering the necessary procedures to try and revive him."

Riane's breath caught in her throat. "D-did you say.. Revive him?"

She nodded.

"What!?" It was like the world was collapsing on her and suddenly she blamed herself for everything. It was all her fault.

The nurse touched Riane's shoulder. "Why don't you sit down honey."

"It's all my fault." Riane stood where she was. When her and Trojan had been together, she'd taken the relationship for granted. She'd tested her limits. She'd cheated. She'd ruined too many people's lives, and now Trojan was dead. He was fucking DEAD.

Death, what even comes after death. If God were actually real Trojan wouldn't have died. God would have saved him. "God why the hell did you let this happen?!" Riane had gone into another hallway and was pacing the empty space. "What the fuck. What the actual fuck." Riane suddenly stopped pacing and stood where she was. Her expression was completely blank. Trojan was dead. It was the end. She'd have to move on.

A sudden sob wracked her body and she slammed her back against the wall and slid down it, hugging her knees to her chest. Tears flowed more heavily than the rain had earlier that day. It felt like something inside her broke, just shattered. The minute the words had registered in her mind, something snapped.

It was like a lion had rampaged through her head, tearing down everything and killing her inside. She sniffed and wiped the tears from her face. Standing up, a sudden rage coursed through her. "God! Why did you let this happen!??!" She screamed through the empty hall, her voice bouncing off the walls and crackling like fire. "I can't live knowing it was my fault. It was all my fault!" She swung her fist hard at the wall, BAM!

Trojan's body jolted as the doctors used the defibrillator. "Again!" They yelled, applying the machine.

Riane hit the wall hard with her other fist, BAM!

His body lurched upward and his chest heaved.

Riane brought both of her fists back in a fit of anger and hit the wall as hard as she could. WAM!!

The electricity coursed through his body one more time as the doctors frantically applied the defibrillator again. He lurched up and a gasp escaped his mouth. His eyes flew open and his hands suddenly grabbed the sides of the bed.

"Hallelujah!" The nurse screamed from where she stood beside him. "I knew you'd come back to us baby!" She turned around in a fit of joy and kissed the doctor standing next to her.

Trojan stared at the ceiling, his eyes adjusting to the light. His chest heaved and he felt all tingly inside. He turned toward the stunned Doctor. "Did I die?"

"Yes," the doctor nodded, setting down the defibrillator and wiping his brow. "Yes you did."
