One Month Later
*Faith POV*
"Moooooooom, come on I'm trying to go see Joy before I go to work" I yelled. My mom and dad both came down 5 minutes later, my mom in a floral skirt and a long sleeve yellow shirt and my dad in a plain white tee and jeans, typical. "Finally cmon" I said, rushing them out the door....
When we got to the hospital, we gave our names and we got to see her together as a family. I haven't seen her in a few days. I missed my girl, she meant so much to me, and it's honestly taking a toll on everybody, Delano, Deidra, me, and Jay the hardest. Even Ashley silly hoe ass came and gave her flowers out of curiosity.
Cheap ass flowers but hey, what can you do, bitch ain't got no money.
"Are you okay?" My dad asked and I shrugged my shoulders. " I miss her daddy." We walked in, and she was there, still in the same state as she was a month ago. It makes me sad, that no progress was being made. "Don't be sad baby." My mother smiled, trying to comfort me.
"Mom I hate seeing her like this. I feel helpless. What can I do?" I look at her seriously and she came up with something.
"Talk to her, there's a chance she might be able to here you" My mom suggested. "Let's her know who's in her presence. Maybe it'll be enough, not to get her up, but to keep fighting to come back to the people she loves."
I thought that the idea was crazy. What if she didn't here me?
Wel I wouldn't know if I got all these 'what ifs' in my head.
I decided to give it a shot.
I walked up to her and took a seat near her bed. "Hey Joy..." What was I suppose to say? What can I tell her? I thought and thought until I just went with the first thing that came to mind.
"Remember the day we first met? And you looked at me like I was some crazy loud ass person? That was probably the best day of my life. I didn't have a lot of friends and the fact that we met, I though it was fate. How we instantly clicked and just how we met and stayed together for 16 years. You're my best friend and I need you back here to enjoy life with me. To explore the world. I want you to find your happiness and realize that you're surrounded by so much people who gives monkey sh-craps about you"
I had to stop myself from cursing in front my parents.
"I love you girl. Now wake up, I'm tired of taking your damn shifts at The Joint" and I laughed and held her hand Ever so lightly I felt her squeeze my hand.
Oh my god, you guys saw that she squeezed my hand!" I got excited as mom and dad both smiled excitedly.
"She did that to me too baby. "
We all turned around to see Jermanie with a sleeping bag walking in.
"Jay, did you seriously sleep here? " I asked. He nodded as he put down his bag and greeted my parents. He came over to me and kissed me and I smiled. "That's the little bit of progress that she's made so far. She may or may not hear us but she senses our presence. At least according to the doctor. Either way that's good" he stated. He had on all white tee and gray sweats. This roughed up look he has is really working out for him. I felt myself sexually craving Jay for the first time in a long time. And that's not normal for us, especially me.
"Oh well that's good... how are you holding up?" I asked, both concerned and turned on by the scruffy beard that appeared on his face.
"I'm alright... how about you Faye?" He noticed me checking him out and gave me the same look. I had on a long sleeve, deep V body suit with my puma slides.
"I'm staying sttong for her... I'm a little hungry though, Jay, um, why don't you... come with me to the vending machine" I asked as he smiled, probably thinking the same as I was, and let me lead the way...
