Illusions of love

~5 months later~

•Vanessa POV•

" UGH! Henley i can't get him off my mind!" I said throwing myself onto the bed.

It's been five months since we all started working together and five months can change a lot. We've all grown really close, especially me and Jack. I don't really know where we stand. I like him a lot, but i'm scared to ever try and make any moves.

"Vanessa, it's totally clear that he's into you! Remember that one time where he specifically asked you to help him with his card tricks? And remember when you tried on 9 inch pumps and started to fall but Jack catched you? You guys are always happy when you're with eachother and he gets really close to you!" Henley said , cheering me up a little bit.

"My biggest fear is being sister-zoned.... what if he only loves me as a sister! I couldn't treat him like a brother i'm in love with him Henley and I can't c-"

"VANESSA MAY!!!!!! You just need to take a deep breath! You and Jack are clearly meant for eachother and personally, i think you just need to give it more time. He's bound to make a move soon. Now come on lets go to sleep we have to do our big show tomorrow," she said.

"Thanks Henley."

I didn't want to say more because she was right.

"I love you Jack Wilder."

•Jack POV•

"V...V...Vanessa?" Merrit asked me. Damn he read my mind.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, as if i didn't know what he was talking about.

"Ah the denial. Jack, it's obvious you like her and she likes you. It's been obvious since we went out to the club. Just make a move," Daniel said fixing his hair in the mirror.

"It's not that simple man. I dont even know if she likes me. I think.... i'm in love with her." I sat up on the bed. "Ever since i saw her beautiful brown eyes, my heart went weak. I can't help but smile when i see her, or hear her name. She's smart, funny, gorgeous, sweet, and a magician. And not a cheesy one either. What's hotter than a professional girl magician," I said. At this point I wasn't sure if Merrit or Daniel were listening but after a few seconds Merrit finally spoke.

"Look... I can clearly see that you guys both have feelings for each other. You don't have to be a mentalist to figure that out. If you really do love her, you'd make a move. Goodnight fellas." And with that Merrit fell asleep on the couch.

"What he said," Daniel said falling asleep as well.

"I love you Vanessa May."
