•Vanessa POV•

We got into the black car and started driving down to Queens. The whole ride i never said a word. Never looked up. Never moved. My mind was paused.

"Vanessa! We're here," Henley said. I looked up and got out of the car. We were in a parking garage with only 1 car next to us. I followed Daniel to the trunk. When he opened it, millions of dollars filled my eyes.

"Holy shit, where did this come from," I asked.

"No time to talk Vanessa move this into this car," Merrit said pointing to the car next to us.

I walked over the door and tried opening the handle but it was locked. "I don't think that's gonna happen. It's locked," I said.

"Didn't you listen? Nothings ever locked."

Could it be? No. He's dead. Or is he?

"Jack," I whispered. I turned around.

Jack Wilder. Right there, in front of me, not dead.

"Jack," I said again louder. I ran over to him and hugged him so tight his skin got white. I looked up at him and got confused.

"B-But the crash, you-you died," I said.

"It was staged Vanessa," Henley said.

"Oh my god, you guys knew?" I said. My excitement turned into anger. I pulled away from Jack.

"Jack, are you insane?! How could you do this to me? How could you all do this to me? I was practically dying without him! You all know how much I love Jack, why couldn't you tell me he was alive! And why did you never call me! I should-" I said.

"Hey Vanessa," Jack said interrupting me. I looked at him and he kissed me for a long time. I smiled at him.

"You owe me big time," I said calmly.

"Fair enough," Jack said. I was overfilling with joy, yet confusion, and a little anger.

"Guys, lets get going," Daniel said.

"Oh right," Jack said snapping into focus. He took his metal tool and opened the car doors. We all put the money into the car. It was pretty much overflowing. The only thing that was keeping the money from coming out of the doors, were the locks.

"Great. Lets go," Merrit said. We all got into the car driving to the building on 5 Pointz. It was an abandoned building, but people were all cheering outside. We took an elevator halfway up. When we got up there we all ran to the center of the room.

"Daniel set up the camera," Henley said. He set it up and put lights all around, since it was dark.

"And we're... going," Daniel said pointing to Henley.

"What is magic?" Henley said to the camera. You could hear her voice echo outside. Jack ran to the window and looked outside to see our faces on the wall, everyone watching.

"Magic is deception. But deception designed to delight, to entertain, to inspire," I said.

"It is about belief, faith, and trust," Merrit said.

"Without those qualities, magic, as an art form, would no longer exist," Daniel said.

"But what if these qualities are not used for their higher purpose?" Henley said.
