Illusions of love

~That night~

*sorry chapter is short, next chapters are juicy.

•Jack POV•

By the time i woke up we were already in New York. It was 1:00 am. I woke Vanessa up and told her we were here. She turned around to pretend she didn't hear me.

"C'mon gorgeous. I'll carry you," I said. Like i knew she would, she extended her arms out so I could pick her up. I smiled and carried her on my back. I said goodnight to Merrit, Daniel, and Henley. I didn't want to talk about the message. I took Vanessa to a cab and decided that it'd be best to take her home. I got into the cab, and placed Vanessa in the seat. I put on her seatbelt, and as soon as I did she layed down on my lap. I gave the driver her address, and it didn't take long to get there. The streets were somewhat quiet. Not many people were out. I saw one homeless man walking the streets barefoot and cold. I remember seeing that, not so old man when i was little. He would play his tiny guitar and sing gospel and R&B, and his dog would dance around. He got tips daily and got happier as time went on despite being homeless. It wasn't until about 3 years after he became sad and grumpy. His dog had died. He started using his guitar money for drugs. He was even arrested for hitting a cop with his guitar. Now, he walks the streets alone and somehow... I can see so much regret in his eyes.

"Hey!" the taxi driver yelled. I had realized i was daydreaming and didn't realize we were here.

"Oh, uh i'm sorry sir," I said. I pulled out my wallet and gave him a 10. I carried up Vanessa to our future home.... also known as her apartment. I found her keys in her bag and opened the door with them. I carried her to her bed, took off her shoes and put the covers over her. I turned off the lights and started to walk out. But something made me stop, turn around, take off my shoes and my shirt, and lay in bed with her. I put my stomach against her back and held her hand. Her fingers were so soft almost like lace. Shortly after, she turned around to face me.

"So this is what it's gonna be like every night huh?" she whispered.

"If you want it to be," I said softly. She kissed me long and soft.

"Thank you for everything. You continue to amaze me in so many different ways and I have become so proud of you," I told her. She took off her shirt only exposing her bra, and layed down on my chest.

"Forever and Always?" she asked.

"Forever and Always," I said. I played with her hair until she fell asleep. I fell asleep shortly after too.

side note: lol guys im sorry this chapter was so short!!!!! i didnt want to continue this chapter going on into the morning so i just made a single chapter for it. I personally think its really cute! THE NEXT FEW CHAPTERS WILL GET JUICY AND HAVE DRAMA. I have planned out how i want the rest of the story to go and i cant wait to write it out!!!!! xoxoxoox lexie
