•Vanessa POV•

I woke up at 7am. My eyes were sore and swollen. My mascara was painted on my pillowcase. I felt sick. I could barely manage to even pick my head up off the pillow. I looked around the room and my eyes burned looking at the window. I got up, feeling dizzy, and closed the curtains so it was dark. I checked my phone. 1 text from Jack. It was sent 10 minutes ago.

"Vanessa, we need to talk. I'm so sorry about what happened last night. That wasn't me. I was just stressed and... look just please meet me."

I read it and tears started to fall down my eyes again. I quickly wiped them away and turned off my phone.

•Jack POV•

I was checking my phone every 30 seconds. God, how could I be so stupid.

"Jack, hate to break it to you but.... it's Saturday. And if Vanessa isn't gonna text you back we have stuff to do," Daniel said.

"You're right," I said. I sniffled, stood up and got dressed in a black t-shirt, dark jeans, and put on my leather jacket. I checked my phone one last time. Nothing. I stared at it for a good few seconds turned it off, put it in my jacket and left.

•Vanessa POV•

I didn't know what to do. I had been on the couch just staring, daydreaming even. His words went over and over in my head. I managed to get up and get some water and go to the bathroom. I texted Henley but she hasn't responded. I felt like I hadn't seen anyone in months. I turned on the tv and turned on the news channel. I always watch breaking news on Saturday mornings. And besides, it was the only thing to keep my mind off Jack.

•Jack POV•

The FBI tracked us down and knew where we were.

"The firewall is down. Do they know about this?" Henley said. We were at the apartment on Evan St, burning all of the evidence and papers there were. Henley was on the computer deleting everything.

"They who?" Daniel said.

"They. Them. Whoever were working for!" Henley said.

"Who are we working for?" Merrit asked.

"Are we really gonna risk going to jail for them?" Henley asked.

"Yeah, I don't want to go to jail you know. I want to have a life and be happy.. with Vanessa," I said looking down.

"You're all being paranoid! Just because you went to jail Merrit, it doesn't mean it's going to happen to us. Just stick to the plan and we'll all be fine," Daniel said.

"I don't know what i'm doing here. I'm only here for the pot of gold at the end," Merrit said.

"You can do whatever you want when this is over Merrit but stick to the plan," I said.

"Uh guys, they're here," Daniel said looking at the window. Henley shut off the computer and Daniel and Merrit threw their shredded papers in the fire. I continued to do so.

"Okay, lets do this," Merrit said. And they left.
About a minute after they left, I heard someone bust the door open.

•Vanessa POV•

*5 mins later*

I was missing Jack. I just wanted him in my arms right now holding me tight. I picked up my phone and opened his text thread.

"Highway traffic heading to..." the tv said. I was barely listening until the tv went ballistic.

"BREAKING NEWS. HIGH SPEED POLICE CHASE ON THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE." I immediately sat up and looked at the tv. Man, this person was crazy. Cutting off cars, going every which way. I couldn't take my eyes off of it, but my eyes took me to my phone. I started to text Jack.

"Please come over. I love you so mu-"

And before I could finish, I head gasps on tv. The car was flipping. It looked like it wouldn't stop. Until it did. My heart was beating.

"We have confirmation that the man in the car was one of the Five Horsemen, Jack Wilder,"

My heart stopped. I covered my hands with my mouth and walked closer to the tv. A loud boom made me jump. The car was in flames. I walked over to my window and saw smoke rising in the air. I dropped to the floor and cried. Regret.
