Okay guys, so as most of you know by my music taste or band taste, I usually like Pop Punk, Emo, Alternative Rock, or Pop Rock.

The most "hardcore" bands I listen to are a couple Bring Me The Horizon songs, Sleeping With Sirens, and My Chemical Romance.

Now. This doesn't necessarily mean I dislike pop music, I just don't like a lot of it nowadays.

I like some pop influenced artists, such as Troye Sivan (maybe because his songs are catchy af)

And I like Halsey too.

Sure I'm not hardcore fans of them like I am with other bands.

But I don't like that many pop artists/groups.

Don't deny it when I say pop music nowadays sometimes gives off bad messages.

Not all. Some.

But what I don't understand, is that with some people,(not all) they just listen to music, and not lyrics.

Not to sound cocky or stupid, but all the music I listen to has good messages, and I can think of maybe 3 songs I like that don't.

(Panic! At The Disco has slightly suggestive songs, but that's mostly their older music, and I only have heard 3 songs off of A Fever a You Can't Sweat Out.)

Sure Fall Out Boy has a couple of suggestive songs. But I don't like them as much.

And just to clarify.

You DON'T have to like every single song from an artist/band to be a fan.

And also, if someone listens to "emo" music.

Don't call them emo, especially if they don't like it.

And I don't listen to many emo bands in the first place.

Anyway, back to genres, pop is fine sometimes, it's just not my favorite.

Now to other genres.

Rap.

The closest thing to rap I listen to is obviously as you know, Twenty One Pilots. And that is because they have no inappropriate lyrics.

Not that all rap does, just a lot of it.

And DON'T deny it.

Some Fall Out Boy songs feature Rappers, like The Mighty Fall, and the new Ghostbusters Theme, which with the Mighty Fall, the rap is, well not sending a good message.

But since it's only part of the song, I still like the song.

Now to the next genre.

EDM.

Electronic Dance Music.

I'm personally fine with EDM, Dubstep, and Trap. I like it a lot actually, also since a lot of it doesn't usually have any lyrics.

DANCE DANCE.

Oh sorry nevermind.

So EDM is usually fine on my part, and it's really fun to dance to and listen to.

Next genre.

Screamo.

I don't have anything against screamo, I actually have some songs on my phone that have screamo songs. Now screamo usually appears in "emo" songs.

Some Sleeping With Sirens songs have screamo, but the thing is.

It's only part of the song, the screamo songs I don't listen to is where literally the whole song is screamo and you can barely understand anything.
