I DON'T THINK / the night horrors / will ever stop / because they keep coming / and they never leave / it is always the same face / a boy with pastel skin / and dishwasher-blue eyes / he reminds me of you / not only in appearance / but in the way he moves / in my nightmares / it's always different / and now i'm scared of / rose bushes and dark alleyways
ROSE BUSHES BECAUSE / the boy tried to / choke me once / with not only his hands / but also the thorns / do you remember / when you used to do that? / he said that i had wanted it / that i had told him yes with my eyes / when all i really meant was / "NO NO NO"
DARK ALLEYWAYS BECAUSE / the boy gripped my wrists / with the same strength / that you had / and he kissed me / with the same urgency / and fury / that you did / do you remember / my screams that night? / "I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU" / (and do you ever remember / what you do to me in those nightmares?)
