when all you want is a lover to hold you tight at night and to kiss you in the morning and stay for breakfast, and when all you can do is stare dumbly at the person who wears your heart around their neck, and when you think about them at night when the lights go out and the world turns dark, do you know what to do?
a) tell him. tell him even if you know that all he will do is plunge a knife straight into your chest, the tip of the blade puncturing your damned, pumping organ.
b) rip your heart out of your chest. then you won't be able to feel anymore. it tastes both sweet and bitter on your tongue.
