The sky was grey that day
The day that you fell
And although John didn't know it
It matched his mood very wellYou stood on the ledge
Teetering between life and death
While waiting for John
To see you take your final breathHe didn't understand
Why you stood up so high
And he never got
Why you wanted to dieDear John you called
I'm a fraud and a fake
So once again my dear John
My life I will takeI failed as detective
And as a mate
So I'll fall to the ground
To seal my heinous fateHe begged and he pleaded
But to no avail
Because you fell over the ledge
And hung by the metal railPlease don't Sherlock
I need you by my side
Our poor John
So desperately criedBut Sherlock wouldn't listen
The wind whipping in his ears
So he jumped to end
All his fraud filled yearsHis blood stained the ground
A puddle of crimson red
And then my friends
Sherlock Holmes was deadHe took the leap
And gave John a final call
So now this day is known as
The Reichenbach Fall
