"Dear, what have I told you about going above without permission?" He asked.
He didn't look like everyone told me he would. He wasn't red, or inhumanly large. He didn't have horns either. He was a tall man with large wings. They were obviously angel wings. The difference was that when he fell from Heaven, they caught fire. All the feathers were melted and shafts charred. He had blonde hair, tanned skin. His fingertips were scorched. Lucy had a nasty habit of sticking them in the fires of Hell when he began to think of his father. I was his disobedient "child".
"It's winter. No one will be out. At least not in the middle of the woods in the middle of the night." I told him. "And what have I told you about calling me dear?"
"It is of no matter. You cannot go above. You must stay below. Your rank is not yet high enough for you to earn that right. Dear."
I couldn't stop myself. I backhanded him. His skin sizzled as the bracelets metal collided with his face.
"Do not call me that! I am not your dear or queen or love so quit saying it. No matter how much you wish it, it shall never happen." I yelled. His eyes became huge and he gasped.
He hissed and cowered away, "Where did you find that?"
"This?" I inquired, confused. I held up the bracelet. "I found it above. It was in the water."
"Get rid of it."
"I can't."
"Do you refuse to follow an order?"
"No. I physically cannot get rid of it. It has fused itself into my skin."
"Then, we must get rid of you. Grendel!"
Grendel, one of Lucifer's many personal guards, stepped forward. He was a large, muscular, black man. One of the first demons in creation, he is Lucy's most prized. The only one other than himself that can be trusted with the only blade that can kill demons permanently. Grendel loved his job, loved being treated as a pet.
"Say goodbye, dear sister." Grendel said as he raised the blade above his head.
"I don't think so." I said quietly.
As he thrusted the blade down, I grabbed his wrist and snapped it. Since the bracelet was melting away the skin and muscle, it was much easier to pull his hand off. I caught his hand before it hit the ground, pulled the blade from its grasp, and dropped it. I looked at Grendel. He was holding the bloody stump of a wrist, nearly crying. Lucifer had run off. I teleported myself away. I knew Lucy went for his other guards.
