Our third day back on Earth, as almost normal people, was a wonderful and sunny one. I had ditched all the armor, except the gauntlet because it wouldn't come off, for a gorgeous sun dress that Cozmel had gotten me. It had spaghetti straps and cloth that hugged my body. The material was white with lilies climbing the skirt. I was wearing a pair of bright red heels that he had given me along with the dress. Cozmel was dressed in an outfit that I had picked for him. He wore a short-sleeved, pearl-snap shirt that was black and a pair of wranglers. He also had on a pair of boots and his cowboy hat sat on the blanket we were sitting on.
Our first home together was on a large farm. We now owned six horses: a pair of paints, a pair of appaloosas, and a pair of Arabians. They were all amazing and gentle creatures. The home also had a flock of ducks and a black swan that occupied the lake gleaming before us. The house itself was a large, Victorian home. We had the white, wooden fences and the perfectly cut grass for acres.
Cozmel and I were lying on a large blanket beside the lake, watching the ducks and swan swim around and having a picnic with a few of our new friends. Mable was an older woman with graying hair and large, blue eyes. Her husband, Sam, was about the same, but balding and with Hazel eyes. Jenny and her boyfriend Mark both had freckles and red hair. They had a son, Billy, who looked exactly the same as his father. They were planning to be married, but they hadn't gotten around to getting engaged yet. Mable and Sam live to our left while Jenny and Mark lived to the right.
"We don't know what to do about Billy." Jenny sighed. "He has this new friend, Xavier, and he is just awful. There are no rules at his house and Billy is starting to act just like him. He even brought home his first F. I mean, I know he's only ten, but still."
"Well, Jenny," Mable said. "when Caroline and Marcus would do those things, I would remove the problem. If they had a bad friend, the friend wasn't allowed over. I knew there wasn't much I could do about them at school, but not allowing after school contact helped tremendously."
I glanced at Cozmel. Caroline was the name of his ex-wife and his murderess. He would cringe at the name or become very depressed. He seemed to be getting better, though, as he did neither. I took a bite of my sandwich.
"I think we should just beat it out of him." Mark said. "That's what my parents did to me."
"But didn't you run away from home because of it?" Cozmel asked. "You don't want Billy to do the same."
"That's true, babe." Jenny said to Mark. "I've told you before, that's a very bad idea."
"Maybe you should throw him into a homeschooling program for a semester. That could work. I was homeschooled and I hated it." I told her.
"That's not a bad idea, actually. What do you think, Mark?" Jenny said with a smile.
"Yeah. And I could be his teacher." Mark said to Jenn, then turned his attention to me. "Thanks for the suggestion, Aria."
"No problem." I smiled.
Our 'butler', Russell, came strolling down the lawn. I noticed him and nudged Cozmel. He got up and went to see what Russell needed. I half listened to our neighbor's conversation; I was very curious about why Russell had come so I watched them talk for a few brief moments. Cozmel nodded and came back over to me.
"I need to steal Aria for a moment." He told everyone and smiled. "I will bring her right back."
Cozmel held his hand out to me and I took it. He pulled me up off the ground and we walked back to the house. Once we were back inside, Russell led us to our sitting room. Inside, there were two people, a man and woman.
"What are you two doing here?" Cozmel asked them.
"We are here for the savior." The woman said. She seemed kind and had long brown hair and her eyes were different colors. One was bright green and the other was dark blue.
"But why, Yael? She killed Chancellor. Lucifer was stopped."
"Because," The man spoke up. "Chance was only one of the three angels helping him. We didn't realize it at the time, but Merrill and Angela were helping Lucifer as well. The apocalypse is about to begin."
"We need your help." told me.
"Well, I can't exactly say no. I will lose all of this if I do." I took Cozmel's hand.
"Okay. Good."
"Come with us." The man said.
"What?" Cozmel said. " , no. We can get to wherever we are going on our own. And she isn't going anywhere without me."
"Yes I am." I kissed him on the cheek. "You need to stay here with Maple and Sam and Jenny and Mark. I will go save the planet."
"But-"
"Not but. Just tell the I got called to work. I knew I was going to have to do things like this when I agreed to it."
"Fine. Don't be long and don't die." Cozmel said and we laughed.
"Come on." Jacob said.
"You should probably say please or she isn't going anywhere."
"Please." Jacob rolled his eyes.
"Alright. But the end of the age is gonna have to wait a few minutes because I have to go put the armor on." I told the Angels.
"That is not it?" Yael said.
The bracelet thing and my hoops are. The dress and shoes are gifts from Coz."
"That's sweet." She smiled. "Well, you go and change. We will stay right here. Cozmel, you should go and entertain your guests before they come to seek you out."
"Okay." Cozmel turned to me. "Please do be careful. You're not invincible, even with the armor on."
"I know, babe." I kissed him and he left out of the door we had come in.
I walked out of a door on the opposite side of the room and went up a stairwell. I took the small key from around my neck and unlocked the door at the top of the stairs. Cozmel and I had the room built special for the armor so it would be very safe. A devil's trap was painted on the ceiling as you walked in the door, so if a demon that wasn't me tried to take the armor they would be trapped.
The room was small, round, and very plain. My armor was set up on a manikin that was covered with a silk cloth. I walked up to it and snatched the edge of the cloth. It fell away and landed in pile on the floor. I quickly slid out of the sundress and heels and into the crop top, jeans, and boots. I rushed back down the stairs.
"That is the armor?" Jacob said disapprovingly.
"Yes." I said as I strapped the revolver to my hip. "And you can either deal with it or enjoy hell on Earth."
"Okay. I like your...boots."
"Well, I like the entire outfit." Yael said. "Now, please. We have to go."
"All right." I took her hand and she put her forefinger and middle finger on my forehead.
