Hayden's POV.

I saw Lily and this other girl talking at one of the cafeteria tables. I wanted to go annoy Lily so I made my way over to them. "So you like Devin?" the other girl asked Lily. I slowly inched closer and closer to the table and saw Lily nod with bright pink cheeks. "Yes Danielle, yes." She stuffed her mouth with mashed potatoes with embarrassment and noticed me standing there smirking at her. "Wait. Isn't that Danielle girl the one that Jacob guy always talks about when I tag along with him and Devin? Ohhhh." I snapped back into reality and continued my mission to annoy Lily. "So. Devin, right?" I took a seat in front of the two girls and placed my food tray down. I tucked my knuckle under my chin and looked at Lily. "So! What's it to you anyway? You jelly?" She looked at me with her eyebrows raised. Danielle laughed and leaned her cheek against her hand and wiggled her brows "Ohhh I love~ this lovey-dovey drama." I got a bit flustered and annoyed with Danielle's comment and decided to speak up for myself and I was loud. " Hey Danielle! at least I'm not the one who likes Jacob! and Lily! at least I'm not the one who gushes over Devin every time I see him!" Lily dropped her fork behind her and I said that while she was picking it back up.

Lily's POV: 

I heard Hayden loudly informing everyone about Danielle's and my crush on Devin and Jacob while I was picking up my fork that I stupidly dropped. I've had enough of Hayden and the way he rudely answers people since middle school and I wasn't going to let him keep doing it. I quickly picked up my fork and spoke while picking it up. "You know what Hayden!? I've had enough o-" I wasn't fully turned around when I noticed Jacob and Devin looking at us with a shocked expression from their table and it wasn't only them who were staring at us. So Hayden not only told some secrets in front of almost the whole school but also, caused a scene that the whole school will be talking about for the next two months or so. "D-Danielle" I say repeatedly while poking Danielle's shoulder. Danielle turned to me with an angry expression "WHAT" she yelled. I gulped and told her to look behind her. She looked behind her and turned back to me slowly. We both slowly turned to face Hayden and slowly picked up our trays. We both slammed them onto the table. When I slammed my tray thankfully, some mashed potatoes ended up flying onto Hayden's face. Danielle and I both screamed at the same time, "HAYDEN" . Danielle grabbed her cup of water and splashed it onto Hayden's face. She looked around to see everyone staring at the scene that Hayden caused with an embarrassed/upset face. She walked out of the cafeteria and left me standing there facing Hayden. "This is high school! can't you get it into your head that people are mean here?!" and with that I left to go look for Danielle.

Jacob's POV:

I was peacefully laughing and joking around with Devin when I suddenly heard a loud voice informing everyone that apparently Danielle liked me? I quickly turned around to see Hayden standing in front of a random girl and Danielle. I saw Devin snickering about what Hayden said and stopped when he heard Hayden say something about a girl named Lily liking him. I turned to him and quietly mumbled to myself "He has mentioned a girl named Lily a few times." I went back to paying attention to what was happening and saw Danielle splashing water onto Hayden's face. She turned behind her to see everyone staring and locked her eyes with mine for a brief moment before she started walking out of the cafeteria. I was about to go after her when she bumped into Aaron before leaving. Aaron grabbed her wrist and said something to her but I was to far way to hear. She yanked her wrist out of his grip and walked out followed my him going after her.

Devin's POV:

I saw Lily yell at Hayden and storm out of the cafeteria as well. I looked at Hayden and he yelled at everyone to go back to their own business and looked at me after. I gave him a that-wasn't-necessary look and he just rolled his eyes in response. I scoffed and left the cafeteria. I saw Lily leaning onto a wall with her arms crossed with her heavily sighing. I made my way over to her. "Look, I'm sorry about Hayden." I said before fully reaching her. She looked at me and her eyes widened a bit. She nervously laughed and looked around before quickly nodding her head and she then started walking towards the girls bathroom. Before making it to the washroom, Lily turned to me and said "Oh yeah! tell your 'bestfriend' to never talk to me again!". I just stood there trying to figure out what the hell just happened and realized that I needed to have a talk with Hayden.
