Devin's POV:
I walked back into the gym and as I entered I noticed that everyone was gone already. Right as I left the gym the warning bell rang signaling everyone to start grabbing their things. I already had my things so I went straight to class and caught Hayden and Lily talking. I didn't mean to be a creep but I ended up listening to their conversation.
Hayden's POV:
"I'm not lying" Lily gave me a look and just looked back ahead. "Oh yeah? Then how are you not lying?" Lily asked.
~Flash Back~
Narrator's POV:
It was a snow day, during grade 8. Kids all over the school were in a group chat. Hayden, Devin, and Lily were in it as well. Hayden always knew Devin liked Amanda, so sometimes he'd like to tease him about it in the group chat.
SCHOOL GROUP CHAT 🤓
Hayden: DeMaNdA.
Devin: Hayden shut the hell up.
Amanda: What does that mean?
Devin: It's a weird show Hayden likes.
Hayden: Based on a true story. I personally know the actors.
Amanda: Oh, who acts in it.
Hayden: You should know of all people 😉
Adrian: Oooooooo 😏
Tori: Seriously Amanda. 😐
DEVIN 🕺
Devin: Dude.
Devin: You know I like Amanda, this is embarrassing.
Hayden: exactly.
Devin: wat.
~Reality~
Hayden's POV:
I quickly remember the conversation we had last year and pretended it was this year. I pull out my phone and say "Here, I have proof." Lily raises her eyebrows in doubt "Oh yeah?" I continue to scroll through my phone until I found the text messages. "Here." I look around the room, and notice a quick movement at the door, Devin. I raise an eyebrow when an idea kicks me in the face. I shuffle closer to Lily and yawn, throwing my arm around her chair. MWAHAHAH.
Devin's POV:
I look away for a second, and when I look back, I see Hayden's arm around Lily's shoulder. That idiot. I also notice that he was way closer to her than before. Is he trying to test me?
