Part 6

Danielle's POV:

"And I think I'm starting to like him." I said while fidgeting with my fingers. "Girrrrllll it's only the first day of school!" Lily said. I glared at her and started to talk. "Why don't you say that to your 'Hayden' friend." Lily's cheeks started turning a bright shade of pink. Lily stared at me for a bit and answered me with "He's not my friend!" I smirked at her "Yeah. He's more than a friend." Lily was clearly surprised at what I said. "Your cheeks are red and it's pretty clear that he likes you." I say nonchalantly. "Hey!" Lily and I heard at the same time. It wasn't any of us because it was guys' voice. We both looked back at the same time and saw... Jacob and Devin.

Jacob's POV:

I saw Danielle and her friend Lily walking together. They looked like they were playfully arguing with each other. I decided to call out to them because I wanted to talk to Danielle about the cafeteria incident and also ask her about Aaron. I looked at Devin and nodded. "Hey!" I called out. They both turned around at the same time and both yelled "NO!" back to us. I started running to them when Lily tripped and fell.

Lily's POV: 

I started running away with Danielle and she was a bit ahead of me. I was having a good time when I tripped on nothing and landed on my stomach. I turned over and flopped on my back. I saw Danielle coming to my rescue when the idiot tripped and fell on me horizontally making us look like a plus sign. I saw Devin's face leaning over me and I instantly looked away. "GET OFF OF ME DANIELLE!" I screamed. She got up and dusted her uniform pants and started running leaving me alone. Devin suddenly helped me up and instead of letting me go, he grabbed me on both my shoulders and started to yell to Danielle. "Hey Danielle! if you want your friend back you better get over here!" Danielle stopped and looked back. She crossed her arms and stomped back over to us. I was so confused as to what was happening. Devin started talking to me again. "Hey. Can we talk about earlier. I just want to clear some things up if that's ok with you." I looked back at Danielle and she just smirked at me. I mentally rolled my eyes and smiled at her before turning back. I said yes to him and we started walking away.

Devin's POV: 

I cleared my throat and started talking to Lily. "So. The uh- the cafeteria. Look I really am sorry about Hayden. You know he's not usually like that." Lily just sighed in response. "I'm going to have to forgive him either way. The teacher just had to pair us up together, didn't he?" She sighed again. I scoffed "He's jealous." I widened my eyes right after I said that. Lily looked at me with a confused look on her face. "Jealous of what?" She asked. "Nothing. Did I say jealous? oops I meant annoying!" She gave me a weird look and just nodded her head.

Hayden's POV:

I was walking home when all I hear is people screaming 'NO' I thought someone was being kidnapped or something so I turned around. Well, guess who it is? "Great" I saw Lily fall and I just laughed at her then her other friend came and fell on top. I was laughing at how dumb they looked when Devin interrupted my view. He went over to Lily and hovered his face while bending down to see her. "Is he gonna kiss her or something!" I whisper yelled to myself. I saw Devin walking towards my way with Lily and I turned around and rushed to a garbage can near by and no I did not jump in it, I in fact, hid behind it. I waited for them to pass by and I decided to follow them since my house was this way anyway. I was curious since I heard my name in their conversation so I decided to follow them to see what they were talking about.
