Part 8 ( Lily )

Lily's POV:

As me and Devin walked, Devin killed the silence and cleared his throat. " uh, I talked to Hayden about why he did the cafeteria incident " I looked over at him waiting for what's next, " he said that he was- " Devin was interrupted " Hey guys! is there a party I wasn't  invited to? ".

Hayden's POV:

As I was hiding behind the garbage can, spying on some people that I am an acquaintance with, Devin started to talk. " So I talked to Hayden about the cafeteria incident " Lily stopped and looked at him, waiting for an answer. " He said that he was- " I widened my eyes scared that he was going to tell her that I like her, and quickly jumped out from behind the garbage can. " Hey guys, is there a party I wasn't invited to? so rude dammit " Lily toppled, she was surprised by my unexpected appearance, " Hayden, why are you here? You know what, I'm gonna go home " she awkwardly smiled. Devin grabbed her hand when she was about to leave " No, wait " he said as she nodded.

Lily's POV:

As Hayden unexpectedly showed up, I was very surprised. I remembered what he did at the cafeteria and really wanted to leave, " Oh Hayden, why are you here? You know what, I'm gonna go home " I awkwardly smiled and turned around, as I turned around Devin grabbed my hand. I felt my cheeks turn really hot " No, wait " I turned around hoping that my cheeks aren't red. " Hayden, why did you do that at the cafeteria? " Devin asked as Hayden widened his eyes and got really nervous.

~1 week later ~

Devin's POV:

I woke up remembered what happened last week " wow " I thought as I ruffled my hair " what a liar " I scoffed. I got up and got ready for school, walking down the stairs I remembered how hungry I was on Friday because I didn't eat breakfast. I stuffed a waffle in my mouth and left for school. I arrived at school and saw Lily and Danielle laughing and talking, " I hope that smile doesn't get ruined today " I thought as I smiled.

Lily's POV:

I asked Hayden and Devin if they wanted to go to the library after school to finish our project and they both agreed. When we made it to the library I saw Danielle, who I think is Aaron and Jacob there too. I guess we had the same idea as them because they had a poster board laying on the table along with a bunch of project supplies like markers, cut out papers, scissors and other random things. Danielle noticed us three and waved hi to us.

~Time Skip~

"Ughhhh" was all I heard Hayden say the whole time. I turned to look at him and narrowed my eyes "Shut up. I was the one who did most of the work anyway." I said. I finished the last little bits and packed up all of our supplies.
