Y/N'S POV

"You ready for the flight?" my boyfriend, Nate, asks as we walked hand in hand through the jet bridge and into the plane.

"Kind of, I guess? I'm just glad I get to go home with you." I smiled and he casually slings his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.

"I'm glad you're coming home with me too," he shyly says before giving me a kiss on the top of my head.

We find our seats and thankfully I'm seated next the the window, which means I didn't have to sit next to a stranger on our way there. Nate places our luggage in the overhead compartment and takes his seat next to me. A male's voice coming from the intercom interrupt the chattering going on at the same time. "Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking, we would like to welcome you onboard this American Airlines flight to Omaha, Nebraska. Flight duration is around five hours and we are expecting a fairly smooth flight today. Once again we thank you for choosing to fly with us and we hope you enjoy the ride."

We start to buckle ourselves in and prepared for take off.

After five hours on the flight, we finally made it. We waited at the airport for Nate's dad to pick us up and when he finally got there, he greeted us with warm hugs. We get into his car and drive back to their house.

"So, some of your friends already heard that you were coming home for a little bit and they're waiting at home with your mom," Monte tells Nate, his eyes fixated on the road ahead.

"Really?" Nate says, smiling at his dad.

"Yes, really. What? Did you tell your friends to bombard us to avoid you spending time with your family?" his dad teases.

"Come on dad, you know it's not like that. We have this whole week to hang out," Nate reasons, squeezing his dad's shoulder.

"Yeah, yeah, when did you become too cool to hang with your family," he teases again.

Nate clicks his tongue and shakes his head. "You know I love you, pops." He says as he glances over at him from the passenger's seat. His smile noticeable and his dimples prominent. I smile at Nate's relationship with his father. It honestly felt really good to have a change in scenery and I really don't mind being here.

Nate's dad pulls into his driveway and we all get out of the car. The front door of his house opens and he's greeted by his friends who haven't seen him in months. I help Monte get our bags from the trunk of the car. Monte enters the house carrying my bags and I'm left with Nate's suitcase.

"You guys remember my girlfriend, right?" I hear him say as he grabs ahold of his suitcase that's in my hands and shuts the trunk of the car.

"Of course! We can never forget her," one of his friends says.

"Hi guys. It's nice to see you all again." I smile at them and they each give me a hug.

"We were telling Nate that you both should come to this party tonight. It should be fun," another friend suggests. I look up at him, waiting for him to make a decision for both of us. He shrugs his shoulders in a way where he's saying that it's up to me.

"I'm down," I let out as I start to walk towards the front door. Nate follows behind me and so does his friends. "Cool, so we'll see you tonight?" they ask Nate. We all stop to confirm the plans and Nate nods. We all say our goodbyes and both Nate and I head into the house.

NATE'S POV

"Thanks for coming to the party with me, babe." I tell Y/N as she fixes her hair to her liking in front of the mirror in my room. I'm sitting on the side of my bed, tightening my watch around my wrist.
