Bradley: uhh yeah, give me like 5 minutes. I'll call you.

5:00 pm

Sabrina: I'll be waiting and beware, my best friend is with me.

5:02 pm

*Bradley would like to FaceTime...*

I hit accept and Bradley's face pops up with a huge smile.

"Hey babe" he says in his deep voice.

My cheeks warm up and I feel the butterflies erupt in my stomach. One, because just hearing him call me babe still makes me feel all tingly and two, my best friend is smirking at me across the room.

"Uh hey Brads what's up" I say trying not to sound nervous

Before he could answer, Rowan, my friend, groans. "Hey Brads what's up?" She mocks "really Brina? That's the best you got?"

She walks over and sits next to me on the bed, snatching my phone away.

"So what are your intentions with Sabrina?" She asks seriously.

Bradley's eyes widen and my face flushes. Oh lord, Rowan, what are you doing?

"Umm uh I just ....um to be h..her friend?" He stutters out.

She shrugs, "I'll take it. But I swear if you ever hurt her I will make it my personal mission to beat your a-"

"OKAY Rowan" I cut her off "I think that's enough"

She smirks at the cold glare I send her way then stands "I'm gonna get going"

"What, are you sure? You don't have to"

"No I need to, dinner is probably ready and we're having my favorite tonight." She informs me "you two have fun doing...whatever you do." She giggles and walks out.

"Okay bye love you" I yell.

"Yeah love you, and use protection" she yells back before I hear the front door open and close.

My cheeks redden once again, she's so weird. But of course Bradley is just sitting there laughing, like always.

"She's definitely something" he laughs
"Yeah sorry about her, she can be a bit much but that's why I love her"

"No worries, she seems cool"

The next couple hours are filled with loud laughter, corny jokes, and flirty comments from Bradley.

I, of course, apologized a million times during our video chat because of my recent behavior but he just brushes it off.

"Don't worry about it" he says.

"But I was such a bitch"

"Not the first time" he smirks.

"Hey! Rude"

"Babe, you know I'm just kidding"

I hum in response but he just chuckles and changes the subject. "I might have some good news" he announces.

"Okay?"

"I talked to my parents about letting me fly to Pennsylvania this summer..."

"What really?" I get excited.

"Yup. They said maybe, but they said no promises since I've only known you for a little over a month now."

"But by summer, we will have known each other for a good while"

"Yeah, I'm sure they'll let me go. Plus, I mean it's October now, I'll be 18 next month. I'll be an adult, I can handle be alone on a plane going to meet a stranger"

"Sound safe" I joke "but for real, I hope you get to come here, since you won't be in California when I go to Disneyland" I pout.

"Ah that pout" he clutches his chest "but sorry, I wish I could stay home but I can't"

"Yeah I get it...well I think I'm gonna head to bed now. I'm exhausted"

"Okay goodnight. Sweet dreams, beautiful" he says with a cheeky smile.

I give him a small smile in return, and to think I thought he was a fuckboy "Goodnight Bradley"

After hanging up, I turn the lights off and get comfortable in bed.

Thirty minutes later, I'm still awake. My body is exhausted but my mind is fully awake, thanks to a certain someone. He's what's keeping me awake and I'm not even talking to him.

He seems to be causing me a lot of sleep problems lately. I just can't get him out of my mind.

I know it's been a short time but... think I'm falling for him.

(Oh & that "loser" I was talking about is my friend so I wasn't actually being mean haha)

But it's 12:30 am soooo its the 4th of July. I'm ready to pop these firecrackers, don't pop 'em on me. Where the police at?
