I woke up the next day and went to class.
Luke and I had come across each other in the hallway again, so we walked to class and talked. He's nice.
He was telling me about how Calum went to run and grab breakfast before class.
"Is being late just his thing?" I asked, looking up at Luke.
"I guess so. The reason today isn't that he woke up late though, I just don't think he gives a shit at this point. Bagels come first." He said, laughing. I shook my head and smiled.
"What an idiot...." I muttered.
I remembered yesterday and felt another smile form on my face. I couldn't help it. I had a good time....
"I'll see you later." Luke said, giving me a small wave. I waved back, feeling less awkward this time, and kept walking towards music theory.
I sat down and waited for the people to come in. Class would start in about 5 minutes.
I felt my phone vibrate and looked at it confused.
Who would be texting me right now?

From Calum ~
Hey, I've got a question.

I frowned at my phone and replied quickly.

What? And why are
you texting me this soon
before class anyway?

What's your favorite bagel flavor?

I..... What?
It's blueberry, but...
Wait. Why?

No reason.....

He didn't say anything else so I just shook my head and soon class had started. Calum came in about 5 minutes late holding two bagels.
Late. Again. Good lord. And with bagels.
I looked at him with a disappointed look as he sat down.
"Your late again, for this?" I asked, confused.
"Well yeah." He said, giving me a look that said, " duh bitch."
I looked at the board and continued writing notes. I had to admit I was hungry, I hadn't eaten breakfast today. I never really do, I usually wait until after class. I was lost in thought when he tapped my shoulder.
I looked over silently and he handed me one of the bagels.
"What is this obsession with bagels??" I asked, shooting him a judging look.
"They're good!" He whispered back, "hey, is a bagel a pastry?"
"You disappoint me on so many levels. Why am I even your friend?"
"So you admit I'm your friend?"
"I- shut up..." I muttered lightly. I finished my notes and gathered up my things when class was over.
Calum caught me outside in the courtyard by the classroom.
"Hey, Elli!" He said, waving at me.
I waved back awkwardly.
"Hey, Calum."
"Ok, so this is going to sound random..."
"Everything you say is random." I laughed.
"...Well, me and Luke we're going to watch movies and hangout later and I was wondering if you would maybe want to hangout with us?"
I was surprised by the sudden invite.
Calum. Inviting me to hangout again.
What am I getting myself into.
"Uhh.... I don't know..." I replied.
"What? Oh I'm sorry, I'm sure you'd rather study for the evening, am I correct?" He teased in a British accent, poking my shoulder. I put my hand to my shoulder and frowned at him.
"You are something else." I observed.
"In all the right ways."
I mean, it could be cool.
And Luke will be there too...
I then did something I didn't expect to do.
"Sure..." I said, looking up at him. He looked surprised and smiled at me brightly.
His smile is... Wow.
I walked back to my room alone and sat on the bed.
When did I get myself into suddenly being friends with my annoying next door neighbors.
Well, cool and slightly less annoying next door neighbors...
Ah whatever.
I received a text from Calum.

Hey, your free to come over whenever you like. :)

Alright, thanks.

It felt so odd. I don't hangout with people much. It's almost like a new feeling making plans. The only other people I hangout with often are Penny and Aiden. Besides that, I just work. I walked over to the boys room and knocked on the door.
"Come in!" Someone shouted from inside.
I opened the door silently and my eyes fell upon the two boys.
Calum was standing with his arms triumphantly in the air, an empty chip bag in hand. Luke was standing beside him, looking out of breath with chips in his hair. I stood with wide eyes and couldn't help but laugh.
"What the hell is going on?!"
"Calum stole my chip bag and I tried to grab it back so we fought for it and then the chips exploded on me." Luke explained, not bothering to dust the crumbs out of his hair.
I walked in, confused as to why I was here again.
Why did I accept this?
This is going to be.... Interesting.
Calum laughed and threw the empty bag away.
"Aww, it's ok Lukas." He teased.
Luke slapped him but laughed all the same.
"So, we've got food, movies and nothing but time. You ready for a movie marathon?" Calum challenged.
These guys are really close, and they're not as odd as I first thought they were. They're actually pretty funny and nice.
I felt a small part of me speak out in argument. But I decided to ignore it.
Maybe this won't be that bad....

We ended up watching movies the entire time.
It was nice to see people with the same sense of humor as me, and the dramas were good as well. Calum started acting out a dramatic scene  in one while Luke and I shook our heads and pretended to boo his performance.
I'm actually.... Making friends.
And I'm enjoying it.....
This isn't so bad after all.
