Trying to forget bad things

After granny's house burned out,
Ashley, Adam and Jackson have moved with granny to
Aunt Maria. She lives near a nice big park where Ashley could play. Ash is really sad because many bad things happened in her life... But things will get better, she hopes.

Ashley's pov

Aunt Maria gave me a room to sleep. It's a nice one to be honest but I miss my home and granny's house. Hope that the new one is going to be at least a little like the old one.
Clouds covered the blue sky and I felt so sad. I missed something important... My mother.
Someone knocked on my door. "Yes?" I said "Can I come in?" I recognised the voice. It was daddy. "Come in." I said half awake, half asleep.
"Hey, Ash." He kissed my forehead "Do you want to go to that park here?"  "I don't know daddy..." I looked at him like I was about to cry. "What's wrong dear?"  "I'm sad. I miss mommy, my home, granny's house, granny's cats and my only friend Lauren... I feel so bad for granny..."  "It's OK dear. It'll be OK I promise. It might take time but everything will be fine."
I put on my favourite dress and we went out to the park.
There was a lot of kids playing but I really just wanted Lauren back. I saw some sweet dogs and I remembered Boo, Laurens Pomeranian.
We walked and talked and even bought an ice cream.
I saw three very similar cats... Those were Fluffy, Mr. Cuddles and Ginger! I was so happy to see they are alive.
I walked slowly towards them, because I wasn't sure if they remember me. But they did.
There was no sight of Lily or any other cat. Only there three.
Daddy stayed with them in the park while I went to granny to tell her that she didn't lose everything.
I got into the house went to granny's room and knocked. "Come in!" She said. "Granny, granny! I have wonderful news! Your cats are back! They are in the park sitting with daddy. Fluffy, Mr. Cuddles and Ginger! Come! Hurry!"  "I'm coming dear, slow down a little..."
We went out and I waved at daddy. He waved back.
"There granny, they are over there." I pointed on daddy and the cats. Then we went to them.
Granny was so happy. She petted every one of them and told them that she missed them very much. "Meow" said Ginger. "Meow to you too Ginger" said granny with a soft voice.
We took another short straw and sat down on a bench. The cats joined us of course.
They were hungry so I went to the nearest shop to buy them something to eat.
The shop was small. There was a woman on the cash register.
"Can I help you young lady?" She asked. "Umm... Do you have any cat food? With fish?"  "I'm gonna look, I think we do."
I was looking forward to giving granny's cats food to eat. The woman came and say: "Looks like we don't have any cat food at all... Sorry."  "It's OK. Bye."  "Bye."
I saw daddy and granny looking at me and I yelled: "No cat food! I'm gonna go here!" Daddy was trying to tell me through expressions not to scream but I said: "What?!" So he just said: "Go and buy that food already!"
I went inside. It was nice cold. This was a bit larger shop. So I had to find the cat food alone.
There was many food and drink... But no cat food. I asked the lady on the cash register: "Sorry, do you have any cat food here?"  "I'm afraid we don't..."  "That's OK I'll just buy sausages." I was about to go and get them but she said: "You don't have to go for them. Here are some." She turned around and took a pack of nice sausages. "Anything else?"  "No, that's it." I said and gave her the money. "Bye."  "Bye." And I went outside again.
When I came out, the first thing I saw were all the flowers and my brother playing with a girl his age.
I gave the sausages to granny and said: "There was no cat food... Again." I gave her the change and she opened the sausages for me.
I took them and gave them to the cats. Every cat 2 sausages. That was the rule. My rule.
They ate up everything. I wondered where they were this whole time when the house burned down.
"Ash," daddy called me and I stood up. "Tomorrow... I won't be here..."  "Why not daddy?"  "I need to work. But I'll be here as soon as possible, OK?"  "OK daddy."

...

We were back home. I jumped onto my bed and started to read a book. It was an interesting book about talking animals.

...

I finished the book without getting interrupted... Wow. Great. I was still bored. I tried to close my eyes and imagine a world like I want it to be... Just to close my eyes and... Imagine... A world... Yawn... Like I want it... And...

...

Someone was knocking on my door, again. I opened my eyes quickly and asked: "Who is it?" Granny answered and I told her to get in.
"What are you doing dear?"  "Well, I was sleeping but I woke up..."  "You were sleeping? You said you were well rested."  "I was... I'm just... Trying to forget bad things..." Granny huged me and kissed my forehead. "It's OK dear. You are fine. When you are fine, everyone's fine." I looked at her and smiled "Thanks granny."

...

Later I was walking around the house and saw aunt Maria drawing something. "What are you doing, Mari?"  "Just drawing something from my head... What do you think?" She showed me a raindeer made of pink flowers. "It's amazing!"  "Thank you, Ash." I smiled.
She gave the drawing to ma and said: "Keep it. To remember me. I don't need it."  "Thank you but how can I forget you, Mari?" I hugged her.
Aunt Maria was an artist. She loved drawing. She sold so many paintings and they are so good it can make your eyes fall out.

When life gets hard, I have people who love me and who support me thought everything I do. I love those people too. They make me feel better. One day I will forget this. I will have a nice, normal life and live in London. I'm gonna travel the world and be an actress... That's my dream. I'll archive those dreams even if it's the last thing I'll do.
